I went through a tough health battle with Obstructive Sleep Apnea that changed me as a clinician, and it motivated me to go back into training and become a Certified Sleep Medicine Specialist. Having the ability to Screen, Test, and Treat patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea has provided me a rewarding experience like none other. I can now say that I get to both CHANGE peoples lives with a better smile and also SAVE AND EXTEND peoples lives with improved sleep, health, and vitality.
Ive been a practicing specialist in orthodontics since 2005. As the son of a retired Air Force LTC, I spent most of my childhood traveling around the Midwest and East Coast until we settled down in Burke, VA, where I graduated from Lake Braddock High School in 1995.
Since I started practicing, Ive trained in modern orthodontic technologies, philosophies, and treatment techniques. My extensive training and overall experience have allowed me to provide my patients with the most comprehensive care options.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my wife, Bita, and my two children, Kaitlyn and Austin. I am an avid sports fan. I love to walk and hike, as well as lift weights and spar in TaeKwonDo (currently a second-degree black belt). I enjoy reading, painting, boating, and traveling as much as I can.
After practicing orthodontics in the Kansas City area, I knew it was time for a change. Thats why I moved to Northern Virginia to partner with my longtime friend, Dr. Ellis. Its one of the best decisions Ive ever made.

Im a certified orthodontic specialist. After eight years of private orthodontic practice in the Kansas City area, I moved to the Virginia area in 2012. I have always been active in the dental community, as past president of the Greater Kansas City Orthodontic Society and past president of the Midwest Tweed Study Club. As the previous owner of a start-up practice in Kansas City, my expertise and knowledge in the practice of orthodontics are invaluable.

I feel I was scammed out $7,000 for Invisalign, which caused severe TMJ pain that eventually resulted in surgery. I originally saw Dr. Ellis for a consultation (for cosmetic reasons) during which he noticed my jaw deviated and clicked but NEVER warned me how Invisalign could impact my joints. It was either negligence or ignorance, I'm not sure which is worse. I also never saw him again for treatment and instead was handed off to Dr. Lindgren. I found it odd that the consulting dentist wouldn't be the one actually treating me. She was perplexed by my pain and eventually referred me to an oral surgeon (after several months of pain!) who then referred me to a TMJ specialist. Irreversible damage had already been done though. I've spent the last year+ and several thousand dollars trying conservative treatment but eventually needed surgery this summer. I'm still so frustrated by their disregard and lack of responsibility. I trusted their medical knowledge. If you have any sort of TMJ problems, orthodontics should be carefully reconsidered and certainly not done by this practice.

Overall really good orthodontics office, the staff are really nice and really really know their stuff when it comes to orthodontics. All the staff form a efficient system and there isn't a long wait time at all. I really recommend this place as a place for braces and all that

Drs. Lindgren and Ellis are excellent orthodontists. They are both very professional, as well as caring and attentive to your needs. They and their staff are very courteous and greet everyone with a smile. They have treated me and my children for several years, with excellent results.

Dr. Lindgren and her team have been extraordinary with my son. He has gladly gone to all appointmentes knowing he would be treated with the upmost care, as he was for the duration of his braces usage and follow up visits. I highly recommend this practice for both kids and adults!

Both of my kids have had great care here. My older child had started orthodontic care in another state just before the pandemic began and his care had been spotty as a result. Dr. Ellis and his team quickly assessed what needed to be done and helped me advocate with the previous practice to make sure his care got back on track. The office staff is responsive and helpful, and I've never had trouble getting a convenient appointment.

Have had not one but two great experiences with these orthodontists now! Super friendly practice where everyone knows you when you walk in. Great care, and they are always Amazing when/if you have to call in for those times when something went wonky. Can't say enough about this practice!!

They are very nice people and doctors who care about making sure that you have the best braces experience. Getting braces for the second time I was very stressed and worried about how it was going to go but so far they are making me feel very comfortable and relaxed with the whole process. Definitely recommend.
