I have founded my practice on the principle of providing clear and precise diagnoses and delivering comfortable, successful dental care. My favorite moments in dentistry come when I treat those who thought their mouth was a hopeless situation. When I am able to restore their teeth and give them back their smiles, the looks of appreciation and amazement that I receive are truly what make dentistry such a rewarding career.
My interest and involvement in dentistry began while I was still in high school. I had the good fortune to work part-time as a dental assistant for my local dentist. Because of this opportunity, what was simply a part-time job blossomed into a passion for dentistry and the pursuit of my dental degree.
Upon graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a minor in German from Adelphi University, my professional education continued at Columbia University, College of Dental Medicine where I earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
Following my graduation from Columbia, I had the privilege to provide dental care for our veterans during my general practice residency at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center. My dental skills and knowledge have been enhanced through the Advanced Education in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry courses taken under the auspices of The Hornbook Group. For more than thirty years, I have maintained a private practice in general and cosmetic dentistry.
Continuing education is very important to me, and I attend many hours of continuing education courses each year to ensure my patients receive only the best care. I am a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, and the Suffolk County Dental Society of which I have served on its board of directors and several committees. As a general dentist, I am proficient in many areas of dentistry, including cosmetic dentistry, emergency dentistry, dental implant restorations, endodontic therapy, and periodontal therapy.
In gratitude for all that dentistry has personally given me, I donate my professional services to the Suffolk County Dental Societys Save-A- Smile program. This voluntary program is organized by the Family Service League and provides pro bono dental care to those in need throughout our community.
In my spare time, I enjoy socializing with my friends and spending time with my family, which includes my two brothers, two sisters, and the pride and joy of my life my daughter. Other hobbies of mine include cooking, baking, and working out on the treadmill. I also love reading, playing cards and board games, and going to the movies.

As soon as you walk in the office you feel welcomed. Pat is very friendly and always helpful. Dr. Mitchell knows her patients well. She knows what I am anxious about and always keeps me at ease. I was in the chair for 1 hr. doing impressions and by her just talking about life takes my mind off what is happening, and I don't feel so anxious. After going to a dentist for 30 years and him leaving the practice and moving elsewhere, l was recommended to Dr. Mitchell, and we are happy we have found her.

I have moved all around the states and no matter where I move to, Dr. Mitchell is always worth the trip! I don't feel as safe or in as good of hands with anyone else. The dynamic duo is always quick, efficient, friendly and comforting. I feel at ease as if i'm in my own home getting dental work done when I visit Dr. Mitchell and Pat! That's how comfortable they make you. Im always nervous to go in but soon as I sit in that chair and we exchange a few words, im good to go! Get to drilling, get to yanking, do whatever! They always ask through the work that they're doing if i'm okay, if i'm in any pain which is so kind. A lot of dentists don't do that! Some get a bit of an attitude when you tell them halfway through that it hurts. She's thorough with everything she explains, the work is always phenomenal and their energy is always amazing. If anyone ever tells me they're looking for a new dentist, I will be recommending Dr. Mitchell in less time than it takes to say the word dentist!

Love Dr Mitchell and Pat I moved to Florida 7 years ago and I come back to just go to her to get my teeth worked on I trust nobody else. My family has been going to them for 27 years WOW it has been that long. Love

Dr. Mitchell and Pat are just unbelievably considerate and patient! I was absolutely an unwilling dentistry patient and it showed in the health of my teeth and mouth. I finally decided to do something about it, and did research. I kept being drawn back to this office and picked up the phone and called. Pat was so welcoming and was able to ease my concerns so readily. When I met Dr. Mitchell, I could easily understand why they make such a great team. Dr. Mitchell has such a calming demeanor about her. She is patient yet determined, which in my case is very important. I never thought that I would willingly go to each appointment that I had with a dentist. I may be a little afraid of the procedures, but in the end I know that Dr. Mitchell and Pat have my best interests in mind. I heartily recommend this dentist and dental assistant. I am so glad that I decided to go with them! Thank you, Dr. Mitchell and Pat!

This was my first visit with Dr. Mitchell. I found her to be the utmost professional. Caring, concerned, focused on details. She took time to go over virtually every aspect of my dental care with an in-depth explanation of what was taking place and why. Truly impressive.

I was nervous as I have that fear of pain. Pat was awesome holding my hand at the beginning. Funny too! Dr Mitchell made me feel very comfortable. I'm extremely happy & very pleased with my cleaning and so glad I found a truly AWESOME dentist. Oh & the sweet air helped too LOL. HIGHLY recommend this office.

I Have to say, I am always afraid to go to the Dentist as I have been burned many times. Despite her office not taking my Insurance something in my gut told me to go there. Not only was Dr, Mitchells assistant Pat super friendly, but also super helpful and very welcoming. Dr. Mitchell is very knowledgeable and truly puts the patients first. To top it off, I was super comfortable and at ease. They have the latest and greatest equipment too! They got me in within an hour of calling and speaking to Pat, and within an hour I was out of there with the work being done and a wealth of knowledge shared by both Pat and Dr. Mitchell!
