Dr. Cyr is passionate about patient education and total body health. She is a great listener and enjoys collaborating with her patients to create a treatment plan that meets their needs and helps them towardtheir optimal level of health.
A graduate of the University of Minnesota School of dentistry, Dr. Cyr brings her background in physiology and passion for a healthy lifestyle to work with her everyday. When she is not working, she enjoys being outdoors, especially cross country skiing, running and mountain biking. Cooking with wholefood ingredients and home improvement projects are also her pastimes. Her favorite people are her husband, Brad, and their pug,Klaus.
As an undergraduate at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, she competed in Division I cross country skiing and track. The two most valuable things she took away from her undergraduate education were how to simultaneously consider many aspects of complex subjects and how to be a lifelong learner. She graduated cum laude in 2009 with a degree in physiology.
During her dental school days, she stayed extra busy by being involved in leadership roles in the Pediatric Dental Club and the Womens Dental Association. She also was involved in public health research and was awarded the Student Clinician of the ADA Award and a trip to Washington, DC to present her research at the ADA Annual Conference in 2016. During her senior year, she traveled to Guatemala with a group of classmates to provide dentistry in a community clinic.
Since dental school, Dr. Cyr has dedicated herself to continuing her education, especially in the areas of dental sleep medicine, airway dentistry, and pediatric orthodontics. She loves to share her expertise with patients and educate them about how their airway health and sleep not only affect their dental health, but theiroverall health, as well. She has completed over 500 hours of continuing education.

Ive been going here since they opened. Have always been happy with their service....until today. On my last check up about a year ago they insisted i get x-rays. Since it had been a couple years i said ok. Today i was scheduled for a cleaning and check up. When i sat down the hygienist said we need to do x-rays. I explained i had them done last time and since im retired and on a fixed income with no insurance i said no thanks. She left and another lady showed up and said i had to have them. I asked if i refuse can i still get my cleaning and check up. She said NO. So i had to leave. Im very disappointed .

My tooth was much worse than we all thought. I was in the Biwabik Office and my tooth needed to be pulled. They called Virginia Office and got me in as an ER. Virginia was wonderful. Very concerned about my well being. They were able to get the tooth out with no breakage. They gave me information on what I can do next as the tooth was near the front. Thank you Biwabik Family Dental and Virginia Family Dental. Well done.

As always the staff always makes you feel at ease.. so professional. Dr M gives you every option for a dental plan. He always makes me laugh which puts me even more at ease. Shireen always works her magic. She's the best.. and the girls at the front desk are awesome!

Today I had my teeth cleaned by Joyce and examined by Dr. Miskovich. Turns out I had a major abscess in a tooth that needed to be removed. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that I could have that done today as well. Thanks to Joyce, Dr. M., Tristan and one other person whose name I did not get, the experience was "almost" painless. You folks are awesome!!! Thanks so much for what you do for us veterans.

I had one of the most thorough exams and cleaning in years. I needed a new dentist & am extremely glad to have found Virginia Family Dental. After years of extensive dental work, I know a good one. I highly recommend this practice.

The dentists that they have here are awesome! Along with their nurses However, their office staff, and the director are highly unprofessional. When finding out what my out of pocket would be for my treatment, I had asked if we could look at another treatment option. I didn't have $600 to come up with in just a couple weeks. I was told that everyone has bills, and children, and I needed to figure it out. Apparently asking about another option is a huge deal. The office Manger proceeded to tell me how I should've saved my stimulus. Waited 4 months to be seen, just for them to bill my insurance and say this isn't going to work. I'll bring my business elsewhere, as well as inform my insurance.
