My first visit was great! I went in for cleaning but had a longtime toothache due to fear so Dr Pham pulled the 2 teeth that had given me problems for a while to give me some relief. Most dentist would charge that visit then set another appt to pull teeth trying to get the most $$ from patient and insurance company, not them! First priority was making me feel better! The receptionist, hygienist and the dentist were awesome and I was in and out within hour and half! I would definitely recommend!!

For any of you who may need oral surgery, or know someone who does, let me tell you the story of my day yesterday, regarding the Virginia Dental & Anesthesia Associates. First, I was yelled at by the doctor, who said that I was not responsible and tried to deliver an entirely unwarranted tounge lashing, because I asked if it was okay if I went and grabbed a bite to eat while my friend was having surgery (for which I would be waiting in the lobby for an hour). Then, he tried to cancel the surgery, yelling that he couldn't keep his associates past noon without paying them extra, and said that she needed someone else here, because I was clearly incredibly irresponsible, for not knowing that I would have to stay (personally I think it is more responsible to ask and be certain than to just wander off). All of this occurred because of a hamburger. His name is Robert Lee Campbell. He has no business in the medical profession if he feels that is the way to treat anyone. Next, they did not give us any aftercare instructions or information, which is extremely important when your wisdom teeth are being removed. Finally, the nurses there made fun of my friend when she asked if they could put her under anesthesia before setting up the IV, (she is afraid of needles), saying in a mocking tone "You're too old for that". This is incredibly rude, and should never be tolerated in a health care professional. The doctor should be professional enough to not stand yelling in his lobby, insulting and degrading people who are paying him for his services, when he could have easily said "No, you will need to stay here, please have a seat" instead. We were shown the door at noon, with no aftercare instructions or gauze for her still bleeding mouth (other than what was currently in her mouth), or any attempt to schedule a follow up, other than being told in passing we would need to set one up. No time frame was given, no attempt to schedule was made. If we did not have friends who had gone through this recently, we would have had no idea what to do. This shows a clear disregard for the safety and health of his patients which I find to be unprofessional, irresponsible, and highly reprehensible. I strongly advise you to find another oral surgeon, with a competent and caring staff, the staff at Virginia Dental & Anesthesia Associates, especially Robert Lee Campbell, are neither.
