Established in 1999 by Dr. Gregory Dumitru, Virgin Valley Dental serves the diverse communities of the Southeast Nevada and Northwest Arizona area. We work closely with each patient to create a care plan that takes into account their previous dental experience, existing restorations, and aesthetic goals. Step by step, you play a role in formulating your own care plan, as we share high resolution digital x-rays, intraoral images, and diagnostic findings with you.

Dr. Dumitru established Virgin Valley Dental in 1999, which was originally in a smaller practice across town. Dr. Dumitru studied at Pacific Union College and then graduated in the Top 10 of his class from the Loma Linda University dental school in 1995. Some of the more advanced training that he has received includes treatment methods for progressive orthodontic systems. He has also studied with the prestigious Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies.

Dr. Dumitru enjoys skiing and boating with his two daughters and is an avid supporter of different Virgin Valley High School athletic activities. Each year, he travels to Morocco with a dental missions team to provide essential oral health services to the at-risk residents.

Dr. Harris joined the Virgin Valley Dental team in 2008. Growing up, he enjoyed great experiences with his family dentist and orthodontist, which inspired him to pursue a career in dentistry. After receiving a degree in Behavioral Science and Health from the University of Utah in 2003, he went on to attend The Ohio State College of Dentistry, graduating in 2007 in the Top 10 of his class. Dr. Harris is certified to provide oral sedation (sedation dentistry) here within our Mesquite dental office.

Dawn has worked for over 40 years in orthodontics (straightening teeth)! We have been graced by here skills as a dental assistant for over 11 years here! In the past she has straightened Hollywood movie star kids teeth. Do you have a burning question about straight teeth or wonder if Invisalign is right for you? Ask Dawn! Dave has worked at our office since 2006. He is the Chief Operating Officer and 5 days a week as a Dental Hygienist. Many moons ago in Indiana he completed college. He is certified with the Academy of Laser Dentistry to use CO2, Ndyag & Diode lasers. https://www.laserdentistry.org/. He applied to become a dentist for three years, and sadly was denied each time. He has a passion to learn everything about dentistry. Dave if not not working would like to running on a red dirt desert trail with one of his 4 kids or wife Julie. He loves sports especially baseball and basketball.

Julie is the first person that you will see when you come to our office. She is our Hygiene Coordinator. She also does so much more! Have you got a letter or card or mailer from us? Chances are Julie designed, critiqued, ordered, procured and sent it to you! She is organized and professional. A lucky lightning bolt hit our office when she started working here. She was a retail store manager on the east coast and was recruited to run another business here in mesquite. Fortunately, with a busy family, she decided to put time into her wild boys and gives some of her time to us! Julie husband is from New Zealand and was recruited to come to the states to play rugby. They have 2 girls and now 1 young stud Iz together. Her kids are growing real fast, but for now Julie can still take them all down. Call her and you will get the perfect phone voice! She will record your personal phone message on your home answering machinefor a small fee:)

Breck is a Junior at Dixie College and working as dental assistant part time. He loves everything art. He is a great painter, sketcher, and sculptor and ceramist. He loves crafts with his hands. He can play the piano and was concert master violinist of his high school orchestra.

Sarai is one of the kindest people you will meet. She is a great Dental Assistant. She loves learning from Dr. Harris and all the other dental assistants. We are lucky she chose to come and work with us after working in other places. She went to high school here in Mesquite and completed dental assisting school in St. George. Have you been a patient and had Sarai work with you? If you said yes you have heard her sweet voice calling you the next day. If you said no then you are missing out!

Jeannine is one amazing hygienist. You are extremely lucky if she cleans your teeth. She could work anywhere with her talents. She is an extra-vert with extreme attention to detail and organization. With this spirited combination, Jeannine might analyze six pockets around every tooth you have in the morning in the dental chair. Later in the evening, you could be enjoying an Eagles concert projected on her garage with 20 or more neighbors. (It has happened!) She loves to travel and has lived in the Midwest, Hawaii, and now the desert of Mesquite.

Pepper is one of our great Dental Assistants. She has been working as an assistant here for many years now. You know exactly what you are getting with Pepper. She is confident, direct and gets the job done. She is also alot of fun. You can hear her upbeat music pumping from her car when she drives by. She adds fun to the day when things are going well and figures out how to make it fun when things are not. You will ask for her again if you have the chance to be seen by Pepper!

Tomi is a Dental Assistant in our office. In addition to 3 great kids at home, Tomi is managing a countertop company of her familys. She grew up in Idaho. Tomi is an amazing chef. She would be running her own restaurant full of specialty dishes if she was not working with us here! During the chaos of the pandemic, we were able to nab her from a supervisory position in Mesquite to our office. Yay! She is hardworking and calm in even the most stressful situation.

Lindsey is a cheerful talkative Dental Assistant. She graduated high school in mesquite and completed her dental assistant training in Utah. Lindsey can learn do to anything and quick! She is a great listener and communicator. She will inform you and follow through with exactly what you want to know have done! She is always early and prepared! She is a positive ray and deflects any negative energy.

Debbie has 20 years experience as a dental hygienist. She grew up on a cranberry farm in Washington. Her work and dedication started there and is seen every day at the dentist office. She can be discuss your teeth and if from the northwest reflect on the days when the Huskies football team was still great. Debbie will tell you what she will do and it will get done. She is delightful & dedicated.

Emily decided to jump from her long time experience in banking back to dental assisting. Emily is one of our amazing dental assistants. She works with the Doctors, Hygienists and Sterilization. She is quickly learning more each day. She is thoughtful and willing to adapt to any situation.
