Made a appointment for me and kids and they called to confirm it in the afternoon which I didn't answer because I work nights and was sleep , by time I woke up the office was closed . They don't send text confirmation or email confirmation (you other forms of communication for people who don't work traditional hours ) like other offices so since I didn't respond they decided to cancel my appointment I already waited a month for and possibly (receptionist wasn't sure ) charge me for the appointment! If you not able to be available to answer their calls , DONT BOTHER !

I highly recommend Dr.Johnson. I have had quite a bit of work and I have always been met with a friendly, professional and timely service. During this time she has also taken precautions to keep all safe. The office is clean. There is always great communication and she spends the time explaining everything.

My experience at VIP smiles was not what I thought it would be. It went there in January had x-rays done there after Dr. Johnson remove my filling and replaced them all. No question she made me fill comfortable during the process of having the fillings removed. However because my bite was off which caused me to be in pain and unable to eat until her assistant could fit me in to be seen. Thank God I was off work on medical leave therefore there was no time I had to miss off work. I noticed Dr. Johnson talk more about what is going on in her personal life than focusing on what she was doing while working in my mouth because she doesn't or didn't have at the time a full staff there was a time frame in which she worked on a patient. Recent which was May 3rd I had to cancel out my schedule appointment because of a family emergency. When I called back to reschedule I was told by her new assistant Ashley that I owe $50 for a cancellation fee it didn't matter to her that I had a family emergency. I was very upset and ask Ashley to have her call me and Dr. Johnson never returned my call. After that I decided that Dr. Johnson wasn't a good fit for being open just 3 days a week besides her unprofessionalism in her profession as a Dentist. So I cancelled my appointment out that I'd reschedule because I found another dentist that has to finish the work that she started and thats available to patients full-time instead of 3 days a week. The flowers that Dr. Johnson receives from patients that she cater to are more important to her that providing the services and running a professional practice. She'll post them on her Instagram page when she gets them. Dr. Johnson is an example of why most people such as myself don't support Black own business that provides unprofessional services. That's why she doesn't have very good reviews.

If you are looking for a job in the dentistry field do not apply here . Very nasty attitude to her employees and unprofessional. I worked here as a receptionist for a few weeks and I hated it . She's vegan and every time I would go on lunch she would not allow me to eat my food in the building because of "the greasy smells " and it wasn't "healthy". If you don't show up to an appointment she charges you a $50 fee which she will send it off to collections if you don't pay it . Very small office , no room for growth . I'm glad I moved on to something better.

$50 for missing an appointment, office isn't open everyday either. If you are a busy person, you may want to find another dentist.

I just had four of my wisdom teeth removed today, July 31st and it was a great experience. Dr. Lucia Johnson made me feel comfortable from start to finish. I had been hearing horror stories about getting wisdom teeth removed but my experience was the direct opposite. Dr. Lucia Johnson talked me through the entire process. First, she gave me stress balls to squeeze while she numbing me and throughout she asked me how was I feeling. If I felt a pinch she would numb me again. She numbed me so good that when it came time to get my wisdom teeth removed, I did not feel a thing. Not to mention, when it came to the insurance and payment process she was very upfront and honest about the cost. To add after my wisdom teeth were removed she provided me with instructions on what to do after and told me to reach out if I needed to (mind you today is Friday and she told me to reach out over the weekend). This to me shows commitment and her caring nature because she could have said wait until Monday but she did not. Her gentleness, kindness, and professionalism is the reason why I will continue to go to her. I recommend Dr. Lucia Johnson to anyone that is looking for a dentist who provides excellent service. Thank you Dr. Lucia Johnson for making my experience worthwhile each and every time that I come to visit.

I am very disappointed in this dental experience. My first appointment was with Dr. Johnson on 2/3/15. I sat in the waiting room for 30 minutes. The excuse was my dental insurance kept them on hold. That may be true. After a routine examination and x-rays, I scheduled an appointment for 2/18/15, 7:20 pm, to have 3 extractions and a deep cleaning while under anesthesia. I also paid for these services at that time, with the extra cost of $150 for ntrous oxide -- over $400.00. The week leading up to my 2/18 appt., my phone was flooded with reminders of my appointment. On 2/18/15, I waited until after 8:00 pm to be seen, even though I arrived around 7:10 pm. Much to my surprise, the dentist performing the services was not Dr. Johnson, but another dentist I had never met. Dr. Johnson was not there. This other dentist pulled two wisdom teeth. He decided I didn't need the third extraction and no one mentioned deep cleaning at all. After the teeth were pulled, the dentist reminded the assistant to put gauze in my mouth. I was told I was all done and to come back in a month because it takes that long to heal. I was not given instructions for care and no extra gauze for bleeding. Today is March 9, 2015. I have not received one follow-up phone call, text message, or email. There has been no communication from either dentist as to whether I'm healing okay, having issues, excessive pain, etc. Nothing, nada. I am contemplating going to a different dentist, as I am one of these people who feel that the after care is sometimes more important than the before care. Obviously, neither Dr. Johnson or her staff feel this way. I feel like a piece of meat...like it was all about the money. I cannot open my mouth all the way because it hurts. No one forewarned me that this could happen. I found out by searching the web it is a pretty common occurrence, but my dentist should have made me aware of all that might happen. The change in plan really bothered me. I paid for something I did not receive. Not a good experience at all.
