Dr. Campanino came to the United States when he was 5 years old from Sicily, Italy. He grew up on the North side of Syracuse. Dr. Campanino earned his Bachelors of Science in Biology from LeMoyne College, Syracuse NY and then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the School of Dental Medicine at Buffalo, NY. After graduation Dr. Campanino continued his education at a General Practice Residency Program at Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo, NY.
Dr. Campanino is an active member of American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, Onondaga County Dental Society and Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Campanino is also a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Society, which is a National Dental honor society.
Dr. Campanino believes in treating all patients like family. It begins with an open dialogue about your dental health and how it relates to your overall health. His focus is on early diagnosis of dental disease, which is important to the health of your whole body. His motto is 'A healthy body starts with a healthy mouth.' Dentists are no longer tooth fixers, they are mouth healers.
Dr. Ilacqua is a native of Syracuse and a graduate of St. John the Evangelist High School and Syracuse University, where she received a BS in Biology. Her dental education is from SUNY @ Buffalo School of Dentistry, graduating from there in 1978. Having practiced in Buffalo for several years and New Britain Connecticut, Dr. Ilacqua settled in New Jersey and maintained her own practice in Mendham, New Jersey for over twenty years. She returned home to Syracuse in 2012 and has been practicing here for the past five years in various offices around the Syracuse area.
A member of the ADA, NYSDA and the OCDS, Dr. Ilacqua has an interest in oral medicine and sleep disorders. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Oral Medicine. She is comfortable with all aspects of general practice, restorative dentistry, endodontics, extractions as well as prosthetics.
Susan has been a dental hygienist with Dr. Campanino's office for over 11 years. Her commitment to the practice is her high level of devotion she has toward her patients for their optimal dental care. Susan is licensed by the National and State Board of Examiners. She participates in continuing education and has received advanced training and certification in periodontal and preventative treatment, and is CPR certified. When not working Susan loves spending time with her children, whether its being outdoors, camping in the summer, going away on trips and having lots of fun. Susan's family has a kitten that brightens their days. Susan enjoys running and is active in local area 5k runs. Susan's goal is to make sure her patients feel comfortable and relaxed.
Heather is one of our dental hygienist and periodontal therapists. She has been a registered dental hygienist for over 20 years. Heather graduated with an Associates in Dental Hygiene from Onondaga Community College. She is licensed by the National and State Board of Examiners. Heather regularly attends continuing education classes. Heather is also certified in CPR and Infection Control. Heather prides herself in patient education and making sure patients understand treatment that is needed. Heather enjoys traveling with her husband and daughter. Heather enjoys spending time outdoors.

Best dentist around, and best that I have been too since I was a child. The staff cares, friendly and calming experience, and they handle the insurance end for you. In and out - couldn't ask for a better experience.

I have been going to Dr Campanino for many years. Staff is always friendly, efficient and caring. They really know their patient's needs. Dr Campanino is excellent and very gentle (always fear the dentist) in all the care I have received.

I have to admit,I didnt like going to the dentist.All the poking,prodding,the sound of the drill,yuk! Oh and lets not forget those lovely shots of Novacain. But from the first time I went here,I have to say tgat I dont believe there exhist a better group of people than @Dr C's! From the gals at the front desk,to the girls in the back,I am glad I found such a good Dentist! Thank you.

Always a positive experience at Dr. Campanino's office,whether with the hygienist or Dr. Campanino himself. Very professional and attentive to the patient's feelings of apprehension and always thoroughly explains the whys and what's of the treatment. Been going here for years and love it!

My wife & I had our 6 month teeth cleaning. . All went well - Sue always does a 1st class job of cleaning. Very friendly staff makes for a enjoyable visit. Dr Campanino makes a final exam before we leave to make sure everything is good to go for another 6 months.

Great dentist, great staff! Always friendly and up to date on the newest . Worth the dive across town to see them. Saw me right away, emergency. Have great confidence in him. Saw Sue today for a cleaning and checkup. Always a pleasure. Sue does a great job, is friendly and nice to talk to. Am impressed how the staff keeps us safe during this pandemic.

Heather at Dr. Campanino was amazing! She helped me stay calm since I was anxious about coming in. My teeth are super clean from her cleaning and she explained and answered all of my questions. Systems are well in place for the safety of all who enter Dr. Campanino's practice. Staff is friendly, punctual and accommodating. Fairly new to this practice and carrying a bit of 'chair anxiety' to the appointment, I was quickly made comfortable by Susan/Hygenist - conversation & pandora were a plus! Honestly, the most gentle cleaning I've ever experienced in my life!! Thank you for making today's visit such an Excellent experience!
