These relationshipscombined with our large network ofMount Sinai Doctorswhich encompasses primary, specialty, and urgent care physiciansallow Mount Sinai to extend its health care delivery system, offering high quality, accessible care in the neighborhoods in which our patients live and work. The Health Network strives to provide all patients with convenient, local access to a variety of health care services that are supported by the highly evolved service lines, hospital facilities, medical school, and research enterprise which represent the core of the Mount Sinai Health System.

In addition to its large primary care and highly specialized ambulatory network, Mount Sinai offers multispecialty services in several communities that aim to deliver the highest quality of care to patients of all ages. These practices are staffed by Mount Sinai board-certified physicians, who work collaboratively to provide exceptional medical care. In many cases, patients can be seen by multiple physicians and have tests completed in a convenient location where care is seamlessly coordinated with one of our eight Health System hospitals, should additional intervention be necessary.

The Health Networks clinical affiliations and alliances relate to a diverse group of academically oriented health care enterprises, group practices, public and government health care providers, as well as other high-quality health care systems. These symbiotic relationships provide the Health Network with an expanded reachenabling Mount Sinai to serve a large and diverse patient population in an efficient, effective, and quality-oriented manner, which promotes enhanced access to and continuity of care for all.

The Health System is designed to increase efficiencies and economies of scale; improve quality and outcomes; and expand access to advanced primary, specialty, and ambulatory care services throughout a wide clinical network. The Health System includes more than 7,200 physicians, including general practitioners and specialists, and 13 free-standing joint-venture centers. Mount Sinai also features a robust and continually expanding network of multispecialty services, including more than 400 ambulatory practice locations throughout the five boroughs of New York City, Westchester, and Long Island. With an extraordinary array of resources for the provision of compassionate, state-of-the-art care, the Mount Sinai Health System is poised to identify and respond to the health-related needs of the diverse populations we serve.

Our visitor policy is designed to meet the emotional needs of our patients while also maintaining a safe environment for everyone. A visitor is defined as someone who is accompanying or visiting a patient at the Mount Sinai Health System. Individuals who are coming onsite for business meetings are considered to be business guests and must be fully vaccinated.

Mount Sinai welcomes visitors to our hospitals and our emergency rooms. We ask that all visitors please follow thepolicy below. For visitors to our ambulatory (outpatient) locations, please see our ambulatory visitor policy below.

Limited exceptions for pediatrics, childbirth, end-of-life situations, organ retrievals, and patients with intellectual, developmental, or other cognitive disabilities are allowed. Nursing administration is available to assist our clinical, security, and screening teams in managing requests for exceptions.

Although these challenging times have brought many changes, at the Mount Sinai Health System one thing has stayed the same: our total commitment to the safety of our patients and staff. While we understand that anyone may currently feel nervous about coming to a hospital or doctors office, we want to reassure our community and employees that we have put stringent protocols in place to protect every single person who comes through our doors. We are welcoming patients to receive the care you need from the doctors you trust. From emergencies to preventive screenings, your health is too important to put on hold, so our teams are here for you.

Through these policies and more, Mount Sinai is proud to be a safe and open facility where community and staff can feel comfortable and cared for. Together, we are working daily to keep both our patient and professional families in the best possible health.

Throughout our community, conditions still need to be treated, procedures still need to be performed, and screenings still need to be scheduled to prevent disease. Your health is too important to put on hold.
