Dr. Michael I. Shnayder is originally from Moscow, Russia. His family immigrated in 1991 to Los Angeles, CA, where he grew up and attended the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1995, and commenced in 2003. While at UCLA he earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in biochemistry and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from UCLA School of Dentistry. His post-graduate studies include a Medical Degree (MD) from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. Dr. Shnayder completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Training as well as his General Surgery Internship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC).
Dr. Shnayder is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and holds active licenses in both Medicine and Dentistry. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor for the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Creighton University Dental School.
Current professional society memberships include the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Nebraska Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the Nebraska Dental Association, the Omaha District Dental Society, and the Maimonides Society. Dr. Shnayder is also the director of the SPEAR Study Club in Omaha and sponsors meetings and seminars for local dentists. His hospital privileges include the University of Medical Center, Boystown West Research Hospital and Methodist Hospital, and Lakeside Hospital.
Dr. Shnayder enjoys a full scope of clinical practice and currently focuses on office procedures including dental implants, wisdom tooth removal, extractions, pathology, bone regeneration techniques, and others.

Excellent experience. Friendly, competent staff, always on time (got in early, as soon as I arrived for appt). No pain with procedure, Dr Shnayder was very good, has years of experience. It did take me several weeks to get in for a consult, but was able to get in day after consult for procedure. Highly recommend.

Great bedside manner and he is very OCD in a good way as he wants to make sure your implant is perfect. I have had 4 implants done now and if I need more he is the only one I would trust to do them!

I've gone here twice for extractions and I absolutely love them. I have bad ptsd with dentist and this place makes me feel relaxed. Only part that litterly hurt is just the numbing which is normal other I felt nothing.

This office is an anomaly in my dental experience. They were compassionate, competent and responsive to my need. The fee was not the primary consideration, it was treatment of the condition and resolution of the problem. I was seen same day and thankful for the prompt care. Office staff and the Doctor are top notch.

Village Pointe Oral Surgery is so awesome. They are very professional from the moment you are greeted at the door to final aspect of surgery. I had Dr. Micheal Shnader was my surgeon who was quick and very thorough. I appreciated his bedside manner with how he conveyed and made it understandable what had to be done, and how it would be done, and left me pain free. I did not feel any pain during the process. I had to get 2 wisdom teeth pulled. They did an excellent job and were kind and caring. They even sent me a surprise refund. Apparently my original estimate was high. Would go again (if necessary)

As usual, Dr. Schnayder was so kind. His whole staff is considerate and thoughtful. Despite having major dental work, I always enjoy my visits. (Not so much the pain afterwards, but ya know...)

I cannot recommend Dr. Shnayder and his entire team at Village Pointe Oral Surgery enough! Dr. Shnayder took significant time to listen to my concerns and questions and was so patient and thorough in my exams. You can tell he has a genuine sense of concern and care for his patients. The office was wonderful in communication and timeliness. 5 stars all the way!

Everyone treated me with such kindness and understanding. Like most people dental work makes me very nervous and anxious. Noah and Dr. Shnayder were so gentle and attentive to my anxiety. The reason I had to be there was not great but the experience was very comforting. Thank you so much for the care.

Dr. Shnayder is seriously amazing. He is very personable and compassionate. He is willing to answer questions and listen to concerns, and he seems to legitimately care about his patients. Once I was numbed up, my procedure was finished within 10 minutes. He is excellent at what he does, and I will recommend him to anyone who needs oral surgery or extractions in Omaha. The assistant and front desk staff were also incredibly kind and supportive. This was by far the best dentist experience I've had in my life, which is saying a lot since I just had a tooth yanked out of my face.

Everyone here, from the staff to Dr. Shnayder, is extremely competent and friendly. I just had a tooth extracted and had no side effects. I love that I was given a sheet of paper with post operative instructions and didn't have to mess with a patient portal.
