Dr. Chang is native to Washington Metropolitan area, growing up in Silver Spring, Maryland. He then earned his undergraduate degree at University of Virginia in Biology and Economics. Dr. Chang earned his dental degree from University of Pennsylvania with Health Professional Scholarship Program from the U.S. Army. He decided to pursue additional training and completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Bethesda Naval Medical Center with Dr. Strickland as co-residents. He has spent the past four years serving at Fort Polk, Louisiana as the Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Strickland earned a Masters Degree in Public Health at the University of South Florida before completing his dental degree at Columbia University. He completed his residency training at Walter Reed and Bethesda. Dr. Strickland has spent the past four years serving at Fort Bragg, North Carolina as an attending surgeon, training oral surgery residents. He served as Assistant Program Director for the residency program, and Director of Clinical Research for the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He also served on the Womack Army Medical Center IRB committee, reviewing medical research proposals for ethicality and efficacy.

A very good area of getting oral treatment and surgery (i had a gum surgery experience and it went great!) And the Doctor and staff for Village Oral & Implant Surgery are very friendly and very nice.

I started dental work with DR.Strickland in January of 2021 up to date he has been hands down very professional with everything on point with everything, everyone in the office is very nice polite and welcoming. He has done such an amazing job with my 3 surgery's and has been very patient and very detailed as he explained the entire treatment. I honestly thank Dr. Birkitt for recommending me to him and they are both amazing at what they do. Thank you so much for your amazing and detailed work ! I got a wonderful experiencia at Village Oral&implant Surgery.. Doctor Frank Strinckland is an excellent profesional he responds all my cuestions.... Front Desk people always smiling and they are very nice. The the rooms of the office are decorated very professionally and made me feel very comfortable. I highly recommend the DoctorFrank

My daughter had her wisdom teeth out almost a week ago and everything has gone smoothly. Dr. Strickland was clear in his initial consultation with us so we knew what to expect. They were able to accommodate my daughter's schedule too. The discharge instructions were clear and Dr. Strickland followed up later that day to see how she was doing. The office also has a follow-up appt a week later to make sure the healing process is on schedule. Highly recommend Village Oral & Implant Surgery!

I had my wisdom teeth removed a while back, but I had a great experience here. The receptionist is very kind, and the doctors and assistants were friendly and professional. Although the surgery was a scary thing to have to experience, the surgery went really well and wasn't as bad as I thought! I highly recommend this location.

I had all four of my wisom teet removed at once and the process went well. Dr. Strickland is one of the best oral surgeons in Northern VA. I would recommend it to my close by friends and families! My mom and I once saw him at Costco before the Pandemic started :) I would love to visit him one day and see if he remembers me!

Dr Chang was amazing. I was pretty concerned about having my wisdom teeth taken out. It was painless and I could tell he knew what he was doing. Really wasn't a big deal- he made the experience great. Also the woman that helped him was kind and kept my nerves at ease. It will be a breeze getting the other 2 taken out. 5 stars across the board

I am a patient of doctor Brian Chang. I have never been to an oral surgeon before, so imagine having to go for the first time to get dental surgery. I voiced my concern and fear to the doctor. He listen and assure me that I would be comfortable and not to worry. I have terrible anxiety and cannot deal with being in a dental chair. On the day of my surgery, the staff were amazing. The doctor put an IV on my risk, which I thought for sure, this will hurt. I did not even feel a pinch, the doctor was so gently. They talked to me, and made me feel very safe and calm. I have already recommended him to a few of my coworkers and my husband did the same at his job. If you need oral surgery, this is the doctor to go too. There were no lies or gimmick, his care while at the facility was beyond above. The aftercare, was very good. I would recommend this doctor to everyone.
