My core team, of two hygienists, two assistants, and an office manager, has been with me from the beginning. Over time, weve brought in new people, all of whom add to our professionalism and passion for caring for smiles. I am loyal to my coworkers and that is reciprocated: it also extends to and includes each of our patients. Our patients are part of our extended family and we always care for them as such.
The best part of being a dentist is talking with people and building connections while helping them become happier and healthier. As ours is a private practice, I have plenty of time to spend listening to each patient, learning who they are on a personal level. I treasure those conversations and the bonds that grow as a result.
As a family dental practice, I love the diversity of my days. My first patient might be a grandparent, whos here for restorative care so they can properly, comfortably chew and regain a smile they love. My next might be a child at their first visit, filled with excitement and possibly a bit nervous. Then I might help a parent improve their smile, with cosmetic care that increases their self-esteem and confidence.
My wife Emily and I were married in 2003. We have two sons, Maddox and Colton, and our dog named Ziggy, and a cat named Lava. Our boys play multiple sports and like many families these days, we try to pack too much into too little time. Our top priority is time with family and friends and, when we can get away, we love to ski and travel.
My selfish hobbies revolve around all the great hunting and fishing opportunities available throughout Washington. I also enjoy gardening and preparing meals where all the vegetables were grown in our yard and all the protein was harvested by my sons and me.

Ive been a patient for more than 20 years, since Shanes dad ran the practice. Shane and his staff have continued the tradition of personable and professional care. They make my visits carefree and enjoyable. I cant imagine going to another dentist.
I had an amazing first visit to this office. Everyone from the front office to the back were incredibly welcoming, kind, and professional. Dr. Ness was very personable, caring and an overall great dentist. So happy I chose Village Dentistry as my new dental office!
Social distancing and sanitization procedures are implemented and observed by this lovely practice. Dr. Shane Ness is a family friend and a wonderful dentist. I have always enjoyed going to Ness Family Dentistry these past few years, but I am particularly appreciative of his wonderful assistants, admins and hygienists. They truly are the backbone of his practice and Dr. Ness as their leader is as affable and funny as ever.
I was very happy with my experience at Ness Family Dentistry. The office staff was friendly, my dental hygienist gave me a 5 star cleaning and Dr Ness was very nice and caring about my teeth. I felt very safe having my teeth cleaned during this time with the Coronavirus.

Really good experience right from scheduling to tooth cleaning and fillings. The doctor is very approachable and accommodated multiple appointments in 2-3 weeks.

After a not so happy experience at my former dentist my friend recommended Dr Ness and the team. Oh, my! Such a great check up, cleaning and a referral to a wonderful endodontist for a problem no one else had seen with an old root canal. Highly recommend!

My son and husband go here and love it. Recently I became a patient as well due to years of oral hygiene neglect. Dr Ness and his staff took the best care and navigated me through a root canal and crown. Just had my first teeth cleaning in 15 years and the process was pretty painless with great results. Thank you, Kerry, and all the amazing staff there. I will now regularly go to the dentist and not wait another 15 years

The office staff is amazing. Very respectful and make sure you go back with a smile, literally and figuratively. Kerry provided wonderful service, and so did Dr. Shane. They accept premera blue cross, so if you're with Microsoft, don't think twice. Highly recommended.
