Dr. Dustin J. Hamren was born in California, but raised in Utah. He is the fourth of eight children, with 3 sisters and 4 brothers. After high school, he served a two-year mission in West Virginia for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A few weeks after returning home, he started his Undergraduate Degree in Exercise Science at Brigham Young University. He met his wife, Brianna, through his younger brother and they became friends, started dating, and were married a year later.
Dustin attended dental school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida and graduated in June of 2019. He loves dentistry and is excited to be a part of the Viewmont Family Dentistry team.
Dustin and Brianna have three boys Jaxson, Oliver, and Lucas, who provide endless energy, entertainment, and helping hands. Dr. Hamren is a true gamer at heart video games, board games, sports, he loves it all. He also really enjoys spending time with his family, and exploring all that North Carolina has to offer.

Poor customer service skills from Amanda and Brooklyn. I truly understand that we all have bad days but dang do better and try to help people before giving them attitudes.

Worst place ever ,didn't see the dentis for the first two visits and on the third visit ,I saw him and he didn't speak to me ,only his staff and of course the following visit was a failure as well ,long story short ,they don't like u if u have Medicare or Medicaid,the treat u less than human ,I was old to leave without dentures after 5 visits over four months,guess it's my fault they wouldn't fit .

dr hamren and dr scheller work easy with your teeth and does a good job at it and wouldn't trace dr hamren and dr scheller for nobody else and all staff members does a good job at what they do and i give them all 5 stars

I am so glad that I found Viewmont. Since moving here it has been difficult for me to find a dentist that I am comfortable with, but I am finally able to stop looking. The entire staff is so welcoming and professional; from the receptionists, to the hygienists and doctors. You can tell as soon as you walk in the door how much they care about each and every one of their patients. Nobody enjoys getting their teeth drilled, but everybody here makes the experience as painless and stress-free as possible. I can't recommend this office highly enough.

The worst customer service there is. The dentist were very good WHEN you got to see them. Constantly rescheduled even when the appointments were made six months out. They would call and push it out another month. Also went in for an emergency visit and sat in the waiting room for over an hour and when asked, the computer said I was already back. Felt like it was discrimination because of Medicaid.

I've never left a review on anything but this office definitely deserves some praise. Coming from someone with anxiety, going to the dentist is very hard for me. Viewmont family dentistry is amazing! Just went in for my 2 fillings and walked out with a smile on my face. Dr. Sheller was very calm and understanding and did whatever made me feel comfortable without making me feel like a burden. He was quick and efficient. My teeth look and feel wonderful! His assistants and front desk staff are so sweet as well. I definitely recommend them to anyone!

Without a doubt the worst dentist and staff I've ever experienced! The dr never reviewed my x-rays, all the while having scheduled me for 2 follow ups and referral to an endodontist. One follow up was for a temporary filling that was cancelled after I was able to get an earlier visit to the first endodontist that Viewmont Family Dentistry and the specialist verified would take care of the temporary filling. That specialist appointment was unfortunately cancelled due my insurance not being accepted. I was then rescheduled with Viewmont Family Dentistry for the temporary filling due to delays at the second office I was referred to and the pain I was experiencing. They proceeded to call me 2 times for earlier appointments available due to cancellations that I declined. They then called back the same day they offered the earlier visits to cancel my scheduled appointment! Siting that I couldn't have a filling without having the root canal. I'm livid at that point that their office had already rescheduled me because I couldn't see the 2nd endodontist for months out who would have done a temp filling but I couldn't see them and I was in pain!!! The dr rescheduled me, called me for earlier appointments, and then cancels because I couldn't get the root canal they knew I couldn't get for months that they rescheduled me for!!! If you didn't do your job don't have the audacity to be money hungry and schedule follow ups. The dr lied clearly he never reviewed the x-rays and I'm paying for it literally!

Strongly recommend this dentist office! It was suggested by a friend of mine and I'm so glad I decided to make the 30 minute drive - it's well worth it! The Drs and Assistants and even the reception ladies are nice and sweet! You can tell they enjoy their jobs. I've always been scared of the dentist and I needed a wisdom tooth pulled. It was causing so much pain. Dr Hamren and Kayla took amazing care of me and assured me throughout the process with comfort and care and even cracking jokes with me. It's a laid back place with happy ppl. I finally found my regular dentist after decades of switching it up.

Viewmont Family Dentistry was warm & inviting when I stepped in the door. The office staff is very courteous, professional & kind. I'd just completed the paperwork when the hygienist came for me. I discussed the problems I was having & made future appointments to get the dental work done. The dentists were very clear when discussing the options available to me & the process for completing the dental work. I required several appointments to meet the goals set for me. I'll be returning sometime later in January 2022 to complete the dental work. I may or may not require a few minor adjustments. Overall, I'm very pleased with Viewmont Family Dentistry & their hygienists & office staff as well as the Dentists! I would highly recommend Viewmont Family Dentistry to my friends & family! My profile photo shows my new smile after my dental work was completed! I returned 1 time for a minor adjustment they got me in the office that same day & my smile shows my beautiful teeth now! I'm so happy with my results & I'd refer everyone to go there if your medicaid, medicare or health insurance covers their office!

I had some dental issues that needed attention. I had a previous experience with a dentist that was unpleasant, so I was quite anxious about this appointment. They were exceptionally thorough, from x-rays throughout the entire process. Dr. Hamren was great, and he explained everything he was doing throughout the process. Had my previous experience been so positive, I would not have been nearly so anxious about this visit. Based on this visit, I would absolutely recommend Viewmont Family Dentistry!

Well to start with . The Dentist James W. Scheller does great at telling you what you want to hear. After he gets your money he does what he wants and doesn't matter what he's told you. He lied about the sets of teeth you are supposed get and after 4 months he tried to get me into my last set of dentures and I wasn't supposed to have then till 8 months. He never came into the room to even look a my gums but he told his assistant he was confident I was ready for my final set of teeth This is a sorry dentist don't waste your time.
