Dr. Hisham Barakat is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology and one of just four board-certified implantologist in the state of Virginia, and one of ten in the United States. He is considered at the top of his field, lecturing worldwide on the Chao Pinhole Surgical Technique. He is joined by his exceptional, qualified, and dedicated clinical team, Dr. Robert DiValentin, Dr. Josephine Salumbides, Dr. Patricia Solarte and Dr. Sahba Sanami who bring quality skills to ensure that our patients have all of the confident support their smiles need in one location.
After practicing dentistry for 44 years, it was time to sell my practice. However, I still enjoyed the connection with my patients and was not ready to retire. It was my great fortune to meet Dr. Barakat and we began the transition of my practice to his.
The most special moment for me is the day I married my wife, Marybeth. Together we have shared our four children and thirteen grandchildren with another on the way. One of the hobbies I greatly enjoy is fly fishing. My son, Michael, and I have been able to fish many streams together enjoying the beauty and serenity they have to offer.

First time visit. All staff very friendly and welcoming. They made me feel at ease. The dental hygienist, Sharon and the dentist, Dr. Barakat were extremely competent and thorough. Happy I chose this dental practice.

They were so nice making an appointment immediately, as a new patient I was treated like Gold. They wouldn't even charge me for the visit or the work that was done. They are a class act unlike my OVER PRICED previous dentist office. This is a class act operation l highly recommend them

I don't write reviews but I reply to the reviews of others, so it's time I complimented Vienna Smiles for taking such good care of my smile. Everyone at this practice, without exception, is friendly, professional and caring. I've had many procedures including crowns, implants, pinhole gum surgery and Invisalign. Dr. Barakat (and his assistant Emily) are absolutely the best! Dental hygienist Sharon does an excellent job of taking care of my cleanings, and the entire admin staff is great. If you're looking for a new dental practice or want to make a change, don't hesitate to call Vienna Smiles. They're in a class of their own!

I went in for a consolation yesterday and the whole team did a really great job explain what steps needed to be taken for my issues and were very accommodating to trying to make it work in my budget. They were all very knowledgeable and friendly. I throughly enjoyed the open communication and professionalism.

I have just had another excellent patient experience at Vienna Smiles. Dr. SANAMI is always well informed of my dental history and the questions and treatment needs to be revisited. I almost feel that I am her only patient. She is quick and efficient and forever pleasant. Porsche, her Dental Assistant, was very thorough in her cleaning and other hygienist activities. The whole office operation is also very well run. Highly recommend.

Fantastic team of professionals! All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Dr. Barakat found the cause of my dental problem right away, and fully explained all the available options to correct the problem. He is extremely knowledgeable. I know I am in good hands with Vienna Smiles!

Dr Barkat and his staff are the best. They are friendly and professional. The office is a one stop shop for pretty much any dental procedure. I had an excellent experience at Vienna Smiles with for my cleaning with Sharon. Because of medication I was taking, I was long overdue for the cleaning and she did an fantastic job working on me while I was on a blood thinner. I was pleased beyond my expectations.

I had a great check up, particularly after following advice received from the hygienist during my previous appointment. The hygienist during this session was extremely informative and I learned a few things about fluoride, longevity of composite fillings and the potential impact of teeth grinding on the gum line. Who knew?
