Dr. Sarah Ganjavi, known to her patients as Dr. G., is a pediatric dental specialist. She grew up in Toronto, Canada and received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, in both Human Biology and Nutritional Sciences. At the University of Toronto, she was the recipient of the Faculty Scholar Award for her academic achievements. Dr. Ganjavi received her dental degree from University of Maryland in 1996.She subsequently completed a pediatric dental residency at Howard University and graduated with honors. She was distinguished among her peers during her residency by receiving the Award for Academic Excellence and Clinical Proficiency.
Dr. Ganjavi is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Northern Virginia Dental Society and the Virginia Dental Association;andhas more than sixteenyears of clinical experience.She currently resides in Vienna, VA with her husband and two children. Dr. Ganjavi enjoys music, cooking, traveling, biking and spending time with her children and family.
Dr. Ganjavi believes that she has been entrusted with a great responsibility when caring for your childs dental needs and, that this may have life- lasting consequences. She continuously strives to excel in the field for which she has great passion and commitment, and has created a state of the art facility, in order to provide outstanding care for her patients in a safe, fun and bright environment. She uses latest technology, including Laser dentistry and Digital radiography and tailors her treatment to meet each childs unique emotional and health care needs.

I live in Leesburg with my husband. We love to travel, especially to warm destinations with a beach. I must say that I hold a soft spot for Africa, where I grew up, and would travel back there every year if I could. We enjoy the outdoors and activities such as riding our bikes, hiking, and going to car meets. I also LOVE to cook and experiment in the kitchen!
I oversee all account receivables and account payables, acting as the liaison between insurance companies and the dental office for submitting claims. I love working with people! I understand that dealing with insurance can be frustrating for patients so I really enjoy being their advocate. Its important that our patients know someone is on their side and willing to take the time to help them understand an insurance EOB or claim. Even though I dont see patients in person, I still love that I can play a positive role in their experience at our office and ensurethat their account is handled with care and confidence.My husband and I have two children andwe enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking, running, skiing, biking, and camping.

Complimentary Infant oral examination- We offer complimentary infant oral health assessment to all children under the age of one. At this initial visit, the home oral care will be discussed with parents and helpful tips will be given regarding oral hygiene and eating habits.
We are true pediatric specialists- Many general dentists identify their practices as Family Dentistry. People are often unaware that general dentistry does not require additional training and education beyond graduation from dental school to treat children. Pediatric dentistry, on the other hand, is a recognized specialty which requires an additional two year residency training after graduating from dental school. Pediatric dentists are specially trained for the specific needs of children, adolescents and patients with special needs.

I knew I couldn't go wrong with a referral from Dr. Leina Wahba at CAP, but I was even more pleased with Dr. Sarah Ganjavi and her team than expected. My son had a wonderful first visit - the entire staff was incredible with him and brought me so much comfort as a new mom of two learning how to juggle everything.

My daughters have been patients at Vienna Pediatric Dentisty for 3 years. They love Dr Sarah and her staff. The office is very organized, and it's clear all the staff know their jobs and enjoy them very much- no awkward chatter or disorganization. My girls love the video games in the lobby and the treasure box- and I love Dr Sarah and her high quality staff ! It's a win win!

I was worried about taking my soon to be four year old for his first dental visit. I was worried the dentist would berate me for not having him in earlier. I was worried he would have a meltdown in the lobby and again in the chair and again when he had to open his mouth. BUT-- All my fretting had been for nothing. Everyone we met was friendly and smiling and seemed to honestly enjoy children and the work they were doing. We got great feedback and I didn't feel belittled at all. Most importantly, my son was comfortable and didn't shed a tear. We will definitely be back to see Dr. G. I can recommend her practice wholeheartedly.

I cannot say enough great things about this dentist and her team. We have been coming here for 6 years since our daughter was a baby, and she LOVES going to the dentist! Like jumping up and down excited. The whole experience is amazingly friendly from start to finish. Honestly I wish they took adult patients too!

Nice place! Friendly staff. But, if you don't have insurance, they are very expensive. Also, the optional things cost a lot. You guys need to be careful about these optional things. Just for check-up for two kids no x-ray, it costs $420. Be ready for this!

Everyone here knows my son well. They are patient and encouraging. Dr. G "gets" him :) And it helps him recognize the importance of taking care of his teeth and gums. Thank you for an awesome practice! I recommend you to all of my friends.

Dr. Ganjavi and her team ALWAYS go above and beyond to make sure my children and I are comfortable at each appointment. She makes sure I understand what each child needs and how their teeth are doing. I would highly recommend her and her staff!
