Dr. Shivani Maharaja grew up in Towson, Maryland. She decided to stay close to home attending George Washington University where she received her degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology. Dr. Maharaja then went on to receive her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at New York University College of Dentistry. She completed her residency program at the prestigious Hackensack University Medical Center.
While starting her career in New York City, Dr. Maharaja primarily focused on cosmetic makeovers. This quickly become her forte and she brought her keen eye and artistic talent to Northern Virginias discerning clientele.

Once your babys first set of teeth are in and thumb sucking persists, there is a chance that this habit could push the teeth slightly forward. As your child begins to notice that the kids around them arent sucking their thumbs anymore, they wont want to either. They will also start to discover other skills or items to give them comfort and security. Peer pressure becomes a much greater deterrent than a parents disapproval.

From my sister, to my wife, and myself we have all had a great experience at this dentist office! I would highly recommend this clinic, the staff is friendly and very welcoming. They make sure to remember all our names too after the first visit, which is such great customer service! If I could give more stars I would!

Dr.Maharaja is simply the best!! My whole family has been coming here for years. Today I came in for a really big procedure sinus augmentation and implant placement and it was easy and painless they walked me through every step of the way and eased my fears the care I received here was exceptional I highly recommend this office to everyone in the dmv area!!

After many unpleasant dental experiences it was nice to be able to sit down and feel comfortable in a dentist office. The staff is extremely nice and the doctor was able to hear my concerns and take the time to address my dental phobia. I can't thank them enough to give me the comfort to be able to begin much needed and overdue dental work.

I've been a long time patient of this office and seen it grow and offer many different services. I just finished the process of having an implant put in my right upper molar. It was nice to have the coordination of the surgeon and Dr. Maharaja to guide me through the process. Please don't hesitate to make an appointment, especially if you are looking for highly skilled dentists who are knowledgeable with more complex dental cases.

If you want to feel completely comfortable and in safe hands make an appointment here. Dr. Maharaja is not only intelligent, kind and well versed, she and her team are funny and great to be around. It's not often you find a phenomenal dentist who has a team that can match their energy. She is very thorough and explains everything in detail. I moved to CA and plan my dentist visits for whenever I'm in town. Highly, highly recommend! They're also super transparent about pricing and go above and beyond to work with your insurance. I recently herniated a disc in my back and they provide me with a pillow every single time I'm in the chair. It's the small things that make a difference.
