My daughter had to have surgery for dental work today 9/16/22. I talked to Dr. Purvis before surgery about some of my concerns and he explained everything in such great detail. I felt very confident by the end of our conversation that my daughter was in great hands. After surgery he answered all of my questions and took the time to again explain everything. I could not have asked for a better experience! Looking forward to cleanings for all of my children at this facility!

My daughter's first dentist visit. I was nervous about it because she doesn't do well with new people. Today she did AMAZING, the front desk staff (Kelly) was super nice and helpful, Karah was VERY nice and treated my daughter as if she was hers, and then there is Dr. Purvis who was also very helpful, nice and knowledgeable with what I needed to know. They made us feel comfortable, my daughter enjoyed the lobby. I will definitely recommend to anyway who needs a home dentist. I just want to say Thank you Thank you !

Dr. Purvis is absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! My son was well past due for a dental visit, and he had to have some work done. Dr. Purvis as well as all the office staff were the epitome of kind and welcoming, and although I was ashamed with myself about how long it had been since my son's last dentist appointment, they did not judge me or make me feel bad in the slightest bit. Today was my sons six month check up, and after he was finished, we go to leave and my car didn't start, but I didn't realize it wasn't all the way started and so I backed out into the parking lot . Then I realized something was very wrong with my car, and I couldn't get it to start. Dr. Purvis came out and helped me get my vehicle back into a parking spot , he pushed my car and helped me steer it etc bc I truly don't know anything about vehicles. He is not only the best of the best when it comes to his profession , he's also a genuinely kind person, so down to earth. I am just so beyond impressed and grateful for Dr. Purvis, along with all his staff members... they are all so incredibly nice. Without a single hesitation, I HIGHLY recommend Vestavia Pediatric Dentistry if you are in the area and looking for a pediatric dentist for your child/children. Truly could not ask for a better experience. Thank y'all

This is the worst dentist I've ever been to. They scheduled my child for a root canal (which I later found out was NOT even necessary!!) They had us arrive 6 hours ahead of time. So, my child and I had to sit in a hospital waiting room for that long. He was starving, thirsty, and miserable. We both caught a cold from being exposed and once children's confirmed that it would be another 2 hours before we went to surgery, we left. 5 days later still no word from this dentist's office and when I finally reached out to them, they refused to refund the money that I paid for his surgery. Horrible!!! Updating to say this dentist has now called DHR and reported me as neglectful as their response to this review. There's no neglect. We just want a different dentist.

Extremely Friendly and sweet staff. My baby never even cried! Such a great first pediatric dentist experience.

WOW! From the staff to the quality of work, Dr. Purvis and his staff are wonderful. The best Pediatric dentist we've ever been to. In the past, my kids have dreaded going to the dentist, but now it is such a fun and safe experience for them!

Dr. Purvis is an amazing dentist. He is so patient and works so well with anxious children. Highly recommend him. His staff is so courteous and friendly.
