Vestal Dental Associates was founded in 1955 by Dr. Anthony Buglione. After graduating from Georgetown University School of Dentistry, Dr. Buglione spent two years interning at Walter Reed Army Hospital before establishing a private practice in Vestal, NY.
From day one, Dr. Bugliones practice philosophy was to treat patients like they were a guest in your home; to never compromise care; to always be eager to learn new procedures and invest in technology and to always give back to the community that supports you.
Dr. Michael Buglione is a life-long resident of Vestal, NY. After graduating from Vestal Central High School in 1975, Dr. Buglione attended the University of Rochester where he received a BS degree in Biology. He then completed a post graduate education at Georgetown University before enrolling in the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. After graduating with a DDS degree in 1983, Dr. Mike returned to the community that gave him his start and early education.
In 1983 Dr. Mike partnered with his father, Dr. Anthony Buglione, in his established dental practice to form Vestal Dental Associates. Dentistry has always been Dr. Mikes passion. Early on, he realized that in order to provide the best care possible, it would require a commitment to continuing education. His focus has been on cosmetic dentistry and prosthodontics ---creating personalized treatment plans for his patients and delivering them in the most gentle and caring way possible
Dr. Raymond Buglione was born and raised in Vestal, NY. After graduating from Vestal Senior High in 1976, Dr. Ray attended Georgetown University in Washington D.C. where he earned his BS in Biology in 1980. Dr. Ray soon enrolled in dental school at the Virginia Commonwealth School of Dentistry in Richford VA.
After being involved in coaching youth athletics for many years, Dr. Ray now enjoys a little more relaxed life after work, enjoying golf, tennis, hiking and kayaking on the lake or just spending time with his family.
Dr. Nolan Robinson was born and raised in the Southern Tier, and is proud to be serving our hometown community. He is a graduate of nearby Hobart College, where he earned his bachelor of science in chemistry and was a two-year captain for the football team. Dr. Robinson began his career in dentistry at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated magna cum laude and as a member of the OKU National Dental Honor Society. He then completed an Advanced General Dentistry Residency at The Ohio State University and remained in Columbus, Ohio with a private practice for a full year before returning to the Binghamton area.
Dr. Robinson believes in a comprehensive medical approach to achieving optimal dental health. He has a passion for implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and working with the latest advances in dental technology. During his training in Buffalo, Dr. Robinson participated in research on dental implants and bone physiology, and continues to receive advanced training on implants and the utilization of digital dental technology to optimize surgical and restorative outcomes. In addition, Dr. Robinson has advanced training in both sedation dentistry and pediatric dentistry through his residency program at The Ohio State University.
Outside of the office Dr. Robinson enjoys playing golf, hiking in the Adirondacks, and spending time with family and friends. As a proud alumnus, Dr. Robinson attends many sporting events to cheer on the Statesmen and the Buckeyes. He is a wine connoisseur in training, enjoys culinary arts, collecting antiques, and is always listening to jazz or classical music.
Dr. Troy Robinson was born and raised in Johnson City, NY. Upon graduating from Johnson City High School, Dr. Troy attended Hobart College where he received a BS degree in Chemistry and served as a captain for the football team in his senior season. Dr. Troy went on to receive his dental education at the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. He then completed an advanced general practice residency at Upstate Medical University prior to returning to the Binghamton area.
Through his education, Dr. Troy has learned the importance of taking a comprehensive medical approach in order to deliver safe, high quality dental care. He has a particular passion for dentoalveolar surgery, including placement of dental implants, extractions, bone augmentation, and more. However, he enjoys the inherent variety of general dentistry and finds fulfillment in establishing long lasting relationships with his patients.

Refused to see me for an emergency appt where a filling fell out so I could get an antibiotic until i could be seen by oral surgeon. Then Didn't send my referral and xrays from previous appt to oral surgeon as they were suppose too and were rude on the phone when I was requesting appt for antibiotics until I could be seen by oral surgeon.

I've been going to Vestal Dental for 15 years now and seeing Dr. Mike. He is simply the best, along w his staff. He makes sure I have no pain and is so friendly and caring that I no longer dread going to the dentist. I can think of no higher praise than that!

When I say I have a massive fear of the dentist it's no joke, and they worked with me and helped me feel comfortable and were incredibly patient, not to mention that they are super gentle. This is a wonderful Dentist. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and the care is exceptionally high quality and they provide a personal experience each time you visit. You have the same doctor and hygienist at each visit so you get to know them and they are able to get to know you as a person too.

Vestal Dental is honestly one of my favorite hang out spots! Dr. Mike and all of the dental hygienist & receptionists honestly go above and beyond. They are always in such a good mood and make you really feel personally welcome as an individual and not just a patient with bad teeth. They literally do not judge you. I am new to the practice, I haven been in to see Dr. Mike 3 times since the summer and I can honestly say that not only is he tremendous at his job, you can tell he is a great mentor to the hygienists and really appreciates the work he does and enjoys his patients reactions to the amazing work he does. Thanks for everything Vestal Dental Association, I look forward to my next appointment!

Top level service at Vestal Dental. Dr. Mike changed my life with his artistry. I had six crowns done and Dr. Mike took his time and did outstanding work. I had minimal to no pain during and after the procedures and I received phenomenal customer service every time I had a visit. They also have great payment options! I give Vestal Dental my highest recommendation.

A few weeks back I experienced some discomfort and pain in my back molar. I called Vestal Dental Associates and they had me there checked in within 30 minutes to give me an assessment of what was going on and causing that pain. I scheduled a time to get the tooth pulled, and after having the procedure, I feel much better. I highly recommend this dental practice to anyone in the greater Binghamton area. Dr. Troy was very helpful and thorough in describing everything that they did in my procedure.

I had an emergency dental issue and my current dental practice seemed rather unconcerned as to my situation of pain which was unbearable, he offered very little relief. Vestal Dental came highly recommended so I gave them a call and they got me in on the same day. After an xray was done a root canal was needed so Dr. Troy started it immediately. While no root canal is ever easy, he and his assistant were fantastic, compassionate as to what I was going through and getting it done. I left the office in MUCH better shape then when I entered, when I got up that morning I would never have thought I would have finally gotten some relief. Dr. Troy called the next morning to see how I was doing, another caring gesture to take time out of his day to do this.There is a lot to be said for people who want to make you feel better no matter what they're job is.These are those people and I'm glad I knew someone who recommended them.

I cannot say enough good things about Vestal Dental and Dr. Troy. I was in severe pain in my back tooth for 3 days, which was restricting all aspects of my daily life. I could not eat nor sleep, and none of the recommendations to relieve the pain that I found online would work. My regular dentist in Owego simply recommended tripling ibuprofen doses and sent a referral for a root canal. After calling the 2 Endodontists in the area and finding out they were booking a month out, I was devastated. There was absolutely no way that I could wait that long in the amount of pain that I was in. I searched for emergency dental services through Google and decided to try Vestal Dental. I am so glad that I did! They were able to see me within hours and Dr. Troy performed a root canal, instantly relieving my pain. Over the following weekend, I had a question about the procedure, and even though they were not open, I left a message on their "emergency line" and Dr. Troy called me back within 15 minutes to discuss it. It has been 2 weeks since the procedure and I have not had any problems with the root canal and have not had any pain in the area. Overall, this was the best dental experience that I have ever had! The staff was cheerful and took the time to listen to my concerns. They reviewed my options with me and reviewed cost and payment options before the procedure, so that I could make an informed decision. I give Vestal Dental 5/5 stars, and would recommend them to all of my friends and family. Thank you, Vestal Dental and Dr. Troy!

My fiance is never a fan of going to doctors or dentists. He had been having tooth pain for a while. He decided to just get it pulled. He said everyone was great there. I just have a very big concern and disappointment. He passed out after having the tooth pulled and a stitch put in. He said he doesn't remember much of what went on at all other than waking up with oxygen on, pulse ox and blood pressure cuff on. They let him drive home out of it instead of having him call someone. Then he told me when he got home that he only had to pay $33 out of pocket. I was like wow that's awesome. The next day he checked his bank account to find out he payed way more than that which left him with no money for the work week. How can they do that and "explain" things to someone who is way out of it? I feel like he was taken advantage of. He's supposed to go back for cleaning but I'm pretty sure after this he won't be going back. Shame since the dentist and assistant were wonderful my fiance according to my fiance.

Called to reschedule an appointment 30+ hours ahead. I clearly explained a very good reason and still got bad attitude from the receptionist. It's a two day notice now. During Covid which is still going on last minute cancellations were OK what changed? I don't think it's right to treat your clients that way. Been going there for years and I think it's time to part ways.

I had a dental emergency and I have never had such a team to assist me and monitor me throughout my procedure. Kudos to Dr. Troy and all of the staff- I now have scheduled my new patient appointment! 5 or more stars!
