I Have always been terrified of Dentists my whole life! Needless to say, that after meeting Dr. Colgan with his patient manner, understanding my fear. His explanation step by step of the implant procedure, answering all of my questions. Assuring me that I will have no pain, only a minor discomfort due to the swelling after the surgery. He was absolutely right about every thing. I had no pain not even a minor discomfort. I am filled with so much happiness!! I can not say enough wonderful things about Dr. Colgan, he is truly a man of his word. Really caring about people and his patients. He loves what he is doing, and does it exceptionally well. You'll be in the best care ever, if you choose Dr. Colgan, he will not disappoint you!!

10/10 Fantastic experience. I had 2 wisdom teeth that had to come out, one was impacted. Received sedation so the entire procedure (including the IV) was pain free and dare I say "pleasant". The care I received from the entire team was top notch and I highly recommend. Thank you!

The VB Surgical Arts office of J. Andrew Colgan give exceptionally good care to their patients. Attention to details, thorough answering of all questions and pain management are the norm. I recovered quickly post op with almost no pain issues. I highly recommend Dr Colgan to anyone needing dental implants

I honestly can't recommend this place and Dr. colgan enough. This morning I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out which obviously is a scary experience. I didn't feel a thing. I felt safe and to top it all off Doc called me on his way home to make sure I was feeling ok. That's never happened and it honestly made all the difference in the world. I can't recommend enough.

I first met Dr. Colgan in February 2019 following a referral from my general dentist due to a significant infection. He needed to do considerable restorative surgery including bone grafts in order to prepare for three implants which he ultimately placed precisely. Following the required healing time, I had the three crowns placed today by my general dentist. They look and feel like my own! I am writing to sincerely thank Dr. Colgan for his superb treatment. He is a gifted oral surgeon! My status required multiple surgeries to first clean up the infection and extract failing teeth, then perform a sinus lift, bone grafts, three implants, palatal graft, and healing abutments. Throughout each surgical procedure I was pain free with little to no post operative discomfort. I highly recommend Vero Beach Surgical Arts! Dr. Colgan and staff ultimately gave me back my smile, my ability to enjoy eating all foods, and my oral health!

Presently, I am under the care of Dr. Colgan and have received excellent care. From my initial consultation to assess my dental condition to the actual procedure of implanting 5 posts to anchor a full lower denture, my experience with Dr. Colman and his staff has been outstanding. His skill level and knowledge resulted in a pain free experience from extraction of several teeth to installation of a temporary denture that is completely functional and attractive. Dr. Colman and his staff have demonstrated exceptional professionalism, caring and confidence. I am grateful for their expertise, and it is a pleasure to recommend them highly.

This is a review for Doctor Colgan in Vero Beach, Florida. I'm giving him three out of five stars. After one and a half visits to his office, I was left with an uneasy feeling that made me hesitant to hire him. The services I was evaluated for at his office were tooth extraction (right bottom rear molar, #31), bone graft, and then an insertion. I ended up getting a second opinion. I'm glad that I did. First, a disclaimer: I'm probably a bad client for a dentist. I am very curious and I have a lot of questions. I brought my iPad to the first appointment so I could take notes and better understand what was going to happen. Some dentists might not like to answer all of my questions, or think that I'm trying to second-guess them and all of their years expertise. Also, I asked the receptionist to print a shipping label for my girlfriend because we didn't have a printer. Those are the bad things about me you should know. The reason for my bad review is that I feel Dr Colgan was a bit aggressive in his surgical advice. Also, Doctor Colgan suggested that I be placed under sedative with an IV drip so that I wouldn't be conscious during the procedure. When I asked him why this was necessary, he told me that it was because there would be lots of little pieces of the tooth and I wouldn't want to be awake for this. Well, it's certainly easier for this doctor to do the procedure when I'm asleep and not asking questions (LOL). It also allows him to bill an extra $400 for the sedative medicine. Last week I had that tooth extracted with only topical and local anesthetic. I also had the bone graft done. It was fine and didn't hurt at all. I didn't need to be knocked out and on an IV drip. When I mentioned to the oral surgeon whom I ultimately selected that Dr Colgan wanted to put me under and on a sedative IV drip, the staff laughed and rolled their eyes. Overall, I paid about $400 to have a CT scan and initial consultation with Doctor Colgan. The additional procedures he advised (extraction and implant) would have cost an additional $3500 or so. I'm lucky to not have to worry about the cost of services. I only want the best. But if you're on a budget, or even if you're curious to get a less-aggressive approach, I suggest you try another doctor or get a second opinion. I won't mention whom I went to see instead because I don't want this to sound like an advertisement for them. Many oral surgeons will do the extraction, bone graft, and implant procedure all in one day. That's fine and sometimes it works fine. I'm definitely not a dentist and not an expert. But the way he answered my questions just didn't instill a sense of confidence in me. I just got a funny feeling and didn't feel good. And I definitely didn't feel right going under anesthesia there. Doctor Colgan is probably a very talented and competent oral surgeon. But I decided he was not a good fit for my needs.

At 45 I was quite nervous to have my wisdom teeth removed. However, the whole staff put me at ease and the operation itself as well as the recovery was a better experience than I had even hoped for!
