Dr. Steve Parker graduated from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry and has been enhancing smiles with the most up-to-date technology and the best dental materials for 35 years. He has served six times with the Marines and twice aboard ship. He has been the Commanding Officer of Naval Hospital Corps School. He liaised with foreign diplomats to deliver Civic Action Programs in the Philippines and Thailand furthering the reputation of the United States. Dr. Parker also recruited dentists to set up a dental clinic for the homeless at St. Vincent De Paul Shelter in San Diego, CA.
Dr. Parker was a clinical instructor for the Advanced Education for General Dentistry Residency Program at Naval Station Great Lakes. He has been recognized as one of America's Top Dentists for 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. Dr. Parker is a member of the Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, American Dental Association, American Dental Education Association and is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists.
Dr. Parker has coached youth football and basketball at Libertyville Boys Club and the Libertyville Sports Complex. He was also the Director of Fundraising for Libertyville Boys Club. Dr. Parker teamed up with Dr. Vince Arpino to provide mouth guards to the 2011 Libertyville High School Varsity Football Team. Dr. Parker sponsors women's league soccer teams, adult kickball teams, as well as other high school teams. Dr. Parker also has taught religious education.
Dr. Michael Parker is the son of Dr. Steve Parker and is excited to be working with his Dad! Dr. Parker grew up in the area and attended Libertyville High School. He then attended Grand Valley State University, where was a member of the football team.
Outside of work, Dr. Parker loves exercising, running, hiking, and spending time with his family. Dr. Parker is very excited to be a part of the team at Vernon Hills Dental Center and to serve the wonderful people of the area!

Dr. Steven and Dr Michael are truly the best at what they do with dentistry. My family has had basic cleanings, root canals, snoring appliances, and most recently Dr.Michael Parker completed 8 crowns to replace old veneers. We cannot say enough praise for both the Parkers!!

Best experience I've had with a Dentist has been with Dr. Parker and his son. Love coming here as they're always on time and well mannered. They aren't super aggressive with treatments and are very clear with what procedures are urgent and which can wait.

Dr. Parker and his son are the best dentists in the area. They performed a root canal treatment for my wife. She is very scared of dental procedures. She visited 2 other dentists who couldn't perform the procedure before visiting Dr. Parker. He made sure that she didn't feel any pain. He is very professional and gave her an appointment at short notice. I highly recommend him Dr. Painless Parker.

Vernon Hills Dental Staff are amazing. My 6 year old daughter has been so fearful at the last two dentists we attended (never made it through a cleaning). But the hygienist at VHD was SO patient and kind. He really knew what my daughter needed and we finally had a successful dental visit. The whole family will be going here from now on!

Dr. Parker and his son are amazing Dentists!! My daughter was away in Cleveland, in terrible pain and they arranged for a very quick appointment and prescription when I called. The entire practice is always very accommodating and friendly!! I highly recommend this family practice!

I saw the young Dr Parker and was very comfortable with his exam and findings. He is as nice & professional as his father. I would certainly recommend either Dr Parker for a dentist. I have never been talked into things I didn't need. The staff is very nice & the office is very clean. They follow Covid guidelines very well too!

I have been going to Dr. Parker's office for a few years now. I can't say enough wonderful things about him, his son and the entire staff. They make you feel comfortable. I have always been afraid to go to the dentist. I now have no fear! My entire family sees Dr. Parker and we couldn't be happier.

Today was my first visit with young Dr. Parker. I am really happy to see him follow footsteps of Dr. "Painless" Parker in taking care of the patients in an excellent manner! I would certainly recommend him for a Dentist. Staff is also very caring and they are taking utmost precautions and following guidelines for Covid as well.

Dr. Parker was rude and unprofessional. He tried to force me to get a new x-ray every single 6 month cleaning. I have no cavities and no issues with my teeth.... None. When I told him I would do it every 3 visits instead, he literally ripped the towel off of my neck and said he can't help me if I won't do the x-ray, and then just walked out of the room and told me to find a new dentist. What? Who acts like that? Something is very seriously wrong with this man. Avoid this practice at all costs.

I do enjoy every visit to VERNON HILLS DENTAL CENTER for checkups as both Dr. Parker's (Father and son) are wonderful, caring, and very knowledgeable dentists. They are both welcoming, warm, and extremely friendly. The majority of my time was spent with Erica, who was my Hygienist. She was phenomenal, funny, caring, and is truly amazing at her craft. Anyone should feel lucky to have her as their Hygienist. Thank you for making my experience great!
