In his second year as a dentist, he owned his own practice in Kentwood, Louisiana, where he practiced for 20 years. Constantly growing and expanding Dr. Verges opened a new location in downtown Amite, Louisiana in 2017. The new dental office is a renovation of the towns original pharmacy and post office building and is over 100 years old. He is proud to be part of the history of Amite.
Dr. Verges has 23 years of experience. His passion for the more challenging fields of dentistry include oral surgery, root canals and orthodontics. He takes great pride in the care that his entire team has for each other and their patients. Dr. Verges and his staff are highly trained and are always mindful of their patients needs and comfort. They pursue continuing education voraciously with monthly and quarterly office meetings and even traveling for specialized training. Dr. Verges lives in Covington, LA. He loves spending time with his 2 sons, Owen and Spencer. He runs in the mornings with his Goldendoodle, Shep. His hobbies include being outdoors, running, watersports, skiing, camping, and most recently learning the guitar. Among his many personal interests, health and wellness are a top priority, which overflow into his interactions with his staff and patients. He is always concerned with the health of the whole person.
Chipper McElveen has been working at Verges Dental Center for 8 years, starting as a Chairside Assistant and now working as the Office Manager. Her favorite part of her job is the challenge of working in an ever-changing industry and having educational opportunities. Chipper loves spending with with her family, especially outdoors. She enjoys bike riding, playing with her dogs, and trying new recipes.
Amanda Venable has been working as a certified dental assistant for 3 years and has been with Verges for 5 months. She is CPR certified, EDDA certified, and XRay certified. She loves to interact with patients and see them happy with their smile! Amanda enjoys hunting, camping and fishing with her husband and two dogs, and relaxing at home.
Raley Hill attended the Accelerated Dental Assisting Academy in Slidell, LA and has been working as a Receptionist and Patient coordinator at Verges Dental Center for one year. She loves that the staff at Verges feels like a family and treat each other with respect. Raley enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and art.
Logan Moneyhun attended the Accelerated Dental Academy in Hammond, LA and received her Dental Assistant and X Ray certification in 2018. She has been working at Verges since January of 2019 and has received her EDDA certification in that time. Her favorite thing about Verges is the culture of teamwork and of making patients the first priority. When not at work, Logan is happiest spending time with her family. She and her daughter Karter Grace enjoy watching movies together with popcorn and snacks and getting their nails done.
Carlie Christ started as a Clinical Assistant at Verges Dental Center but now coordinates insurance benefits and financial options. She graduated from the Delta Dental dental assisting program in 2012 and became EDDA certified in 2019. Carlies favorite part about working at Verges is working together with her colleagues to change lives by improving smiles. In her free time, Carlie loves to spend time with her family, watching her son play baseball and her daughters dance recitals. She also enjoys cooking, gardening, singing in choir, and being involved in her church.
Krystal Herrington has been an extended duties Dental Assistant at Verges Dental Center for 3 years. She is EDDA certified and has been dental assisting for 8 years. Her favorite part of working at Verges is taking care of patients and seeing them love their smiles. She loves spending time with her son, going to concerts, reading, hanging out with friends, relaxing at the beach, playing with her dog, fishing, and spending time outdoors.

Dr. Verges and Nikki were wonderful. Dr. Verges took his time to answer all of my questions and wasn't rushed. Nikki kind and patient when doing the cleaning, she also took the time to answer any questions that I had and never made me feel rushed.

I always have such a pleasant experience at this office. The receptionists make you feel so welcomed. Nikki and Elizabeth are both very gentle and provide an excellent cleaning. Dr. Verges makes you feel very comfortable and taken care of. He offers a thorough patient care plan and my ortho appointments with him are always a breeze. Summer is a wonderful assistant and I look forward to seeing her at every ortho appointment! Everyone displays magnificent hospitality. I will not be going anywhere else!

Brooke, Dr. Verges and Dr. Morris were wonderful. I had to have my teeth extracted back in May for a medical procedure. Dr. Verges fit me for dentures today. Everyone was understanding and did an excellent job. Ms. Brooke was very patient and caring. I am hard of hearing and she went out of her way to make sure I understood everything.

Everyone is very nice and helpful. I had Emily assisting Dr Verges and she was so kind throughout the procedure. As much as I typically dislike going to the dentist, Dr. Verges and his staff always make it an enjoyable experience.
