Veranda Dentistry is a cutting edge dental practice in Pleasant Hill IA and has been providing exceptional dental care for patients in Polk County for over 10 years. We dont just want to treat your oral health problems, we want to determine the root cause of your dental problems in hopes of preventing further complications down the road. We provide quality general, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry, and everything in between to help our patients achieve the healthy, beautiful smile they deserve.
We offer preventive services, as well as treatment for orthodontics, periodontal disease (gum disease), TMJ, surgical implant placement and restoration, cosmetic veneers, same-day CEREC crowns, onlays, and inlays. We offer gentle dentistry by numbing reversal with Oraverse, and less painful shots with OnSet and compounded topical anesthetic.
Dr. Chad is a Southeast Polk High School graduate. He completed his undergraduate studies atthe University of Iowa and continued at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, earning aDoctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2005.
Dr. Chad has been a member of theAmerican Dental Associationand its local affiliates:Iowa DentalAssociationandDes Moines District Dental Society; the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry; the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, theAcademy of Laser Dentistry;and he is a Fellowof theAcademy of General Dentistryand Diplomate of the International Dental Implant Association. He was involved with the Cerec Mentor Group for five years, andserves as a Trainer for other dentists in the state of Iowa for Cerec, a Sirona technology.
Dr. Chad and his wife, Sarah, have three childrenGabe, Sophia and Daphne. He is an active member of his church, and enjoys swimming and cycling, photography, traveling, and coaching little league. He looks forward to serving the community where he grew up for years to come. In 2020, he opened Veranda Dentistry Johnston.
FAGD stands for Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Earning Fellowship takes dedication to dental continuing education (CE) beyond graduation. Only about 6 percent of general dentists in the U.S. and Canada are AGD Fellows. When you see a dentist with FAGD after their name, you can rest assured they care about knowing the latest techniques and best practices in dentistry. AGD Fellows practice these techniques in a classroom setting multiple times a yearnot every dentist does this.
Dr. Hannah Turner was born and raised in West Des Moines, IA where she graduated from Valley High School. She then completed her undergraduate studies at Wartburg College in Waverly, IA where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and minor in Business. During her undergraduate years, she was a member of the Wartburg Womens Soccer Team.
Dr. Hannah continued her education at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2020. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Hannah enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys spending time outdoors, running, golfing, and continues to play soccer recreationally. Dr. Hannah is happy to call the Des Moines area her home and looks forward to forming new relationships with her patients and serve this community for years to come.

We are expanding into Johnston as well! Our founding doctor was born and raised right here in the Des Moines area, so we love being able to provide quality dentistry and compassionate care for our friends and neighbors in our small-town community.

I can't believe I'm telling people I have a dentist That's something I've Never said before. Dr Chad is My dentist! I wish I had found Veranda Dentistry and Dr Chad years ago. My oral hygiene was/is not good. Veranda Dentistry and Dr Chad are helping me change that. I am so thankful I found them. It's definitely NOT easy, but they are helping me through it.For the first time EVER, I have hope of better oral health. Thank you Veranda Dentistry, Dr Chad and your awesome team.

I am a terrible dental patient, I have extremely sensitive teeth and high anxiety. The hygienist Heather was extremely patient but firm enough to get me through the exam and cleaning quickly while I was in full panic mode. The dentist was personable and worked with me to try to find some way to minimize my discomfort for the next visit. Clean facilities and friendly front desk staff as well. All around as decent an experience as someone like me can hope for.

Dr Chad is a genius! More importantly he's kind and patient and willing to think outside the box. I'd been to two different dentists with pain when biting down. Neither of them could determine the cause and neither of them presented me with any ideas or suggestions as to how to get to the bottom of it. Dr Chad took extra time and looked at the issue from many different angles. He suggested a few options and we settled on one we both felt most confident in (adjusting my bite). So far, no pain!!!!! Pretty sure think he nailed it! If you need a dentist who cares and who knows what he's doing, he's your guy. He's the real deal.

Our dentist retired and Dr.Chad took over that business about two years ago. Our "old" dentist was so appreciated by all of his patients --it could have been I challenge to follow him. But for me it wasn't. Immediately I felt comfortable. I enjoy all of their personalities and I realize they are very skilled dentists and hygienists. I have presented them some challenges this year which they have been totally up to and have encouraged me that everything will be OK. I enjoy the fact that I know all of the people in the office and usually have the same dentist. They are all delightful and very personable. Believe it or not I do not mind going to the dentist--- it's kind of fun. The staff has quickly become more than the people in my dentist's office and now are friends. I am just so thankful for all of them. Plus they make great recommendations of shows to watch and books to read. Thank you Veranda Dentistry

First time ever going here and I'm always nervous to try anything new and especially a dentist. The staff was beyond amazing in all aspects and helped me accomplish more confidence in my smile. I've never been able to go in for a cleaning and get work done to my teeth in the same day and they were able to accomplish this with their expertise and technology. So thankful and highly recommend.
