This has been my dentist for the past 8 years, and I always have a painless, pleasant experience. The assistants are friendly and my doctor is very gentle. I am very happy here and appreciate all the care given.

I am very pleased with the dental care I am receiving at Dr Zak's Ventura Dental Group. I learned patient care is organized to maximize Dr Schaeffer's skills as a knowledgeable, talented and efficient dentist. During my initial visit, Shirley, office manager, estimated cost of service as Dr Jackson evaluated the overall health of my teeth and gums. I learned I needed a crown. One week later I met Dr Schaeffer who agreed with the initial evaluation. Never having a crown but knowing I have a low threshold for pain, Dr Schaeffer made sure I was completely numb. He did not take the "let's wait and see" approach. My old (and large) filling was removed and the temporary was shaped and placed efficiently. When I returned for the permanent crown, Dr Schaeffer reassured me that the removal of the temporary and placement of the permanent crown was painless; that the trauma of receiving injections would be more stressful than the replacement procedure. I trusted Dr. Schaeffer and he was right. The Ventura Dental Group is an educated, experienced, and well organized team with each member providing excellent service; including; Deana RDA, Chantelle x-ray technician and Vira and Sydney administrative assistants.

I sadly have had issues since day one with this office. They failed to mention Ortho only in Office once a week. He is in other locations and even if emergency we have to wait to see him till day at our location. He put many brackets on loose baby teeth and one even came out and was hanging and we had to cut it out ourselves and when I called the lady at front just noted unsure why Dentist would put them on baby teeth. They then tell me what appointment is for and do something completely different. Had APT yesterday and waited in front of dark room to find out they forgot to call me to tell me has out of office and to reschedule. If my Daughter had not started her braces on second visit I would pull her in a second from this place. More trouble then I have ever experience at DR office!

I used to only smile with my mouth closed due to some chipped and discolored teeth, but now I can smile showing teeth again! The office staffs are super friendly, and helpful. I never have to worry about figuring out my dental insurance. But most importantly, the doctors are always gentle, thorough and they do excellent work! Thank you.

This dental office has a great staff and I really appreciates the doctor's kindness and painless treatment. I never felt like I was being oversold on unnecessary treatments and actually their fees are very fair compared to ones I have been quoted elsewhere. This dental office has a great staff and I really appreciates the doctor's kindness and painless treatment. HORRIBLE experience with Ventura Dental Group and the rude office manager, Robin. They wanted to drill into my teeth for cavities.. Told them I would have to reschedule. Didn't have a good feeling to begin with at this DIRTY Dental facility. Went to another dental office for a second opinion and full deep cleaning (at a better price) and the 3 (THREE!!!) other Dentist there were not able to find ANY cavities and could not see why Ventura Dental Group would recommend that. Do NOT let VENTURA Dental Group mislead you!!! I have NO Cavities and they were ready to DRILL into my GOOD Teeth and then Robin, the "Office Manager" told me those 3 other Dentist are wrong?! I think Ventura Dental is crazy, Robin has poor people skills and the head dentist Doctor Schaefer can't even return my message regarding this. I highly suggest going somewhere else for you Dental needs..! Ventura Dental Group doesn't seem to know what they are doing and the people there will take your money and scam you if you let them Go else where for dental services!!! Wish I could give them less than 1 star.... HORRIBLE place and out dated and dirty for a dental office!

I don't usually write reviews, good or bad, but I am compelled to share my experience with Ventura Dental Group. I have been a client for over 2 years and have always received excellent care. But recently, I broke a tooth which resulted in a good deal of pain. I called Dora at VDG, and she got me in to see the Doctor in 45 minutes! Needless to say, I was grateful. Everyone there, Robyn, Shirley and of course the Doctors, have exceeded my expectations. Nobody likes the thought of going to the Dentist right? Well, going to Ventura Dental Group is actually a pleasant experience if you can believe that. Thank you VDG!!!
