Dr. Trevor Veltkamp is a Whatcom County native who learned to love gray drizzle at a very young age. Although he was gone for 17 years to earn degrees from Calvin College, the University of Washington, Baylor, and Texas A & M his heart was always in Whatcom County.
Upon completion of his degrees, Dr. Veltkamp practiced in Ellensburg for seven years. After he and his wife had their third child, they decided it was finally time to come home, and Dr. Veltkamp has been practicing in Whatcom County since 2007.
Dr. Veltkamps orthodontic philosophy is to provide the right treatment, at the right time, for the right reasons. His orthodontic goals aim to create a healthy, functional bite with a spectacular smile. He uses up-to-date research, coupled with the best technology, and draws upon more than two decades of experience.
Dr. Veltkamp understands that one of the great joys and privileges of practicing orthodontics is the opportunity to develop relationships with patients and their families. Orthodontics not only encompasses the form and science of moving teeth, but also the art and pleasure of working with patients as he helps them enhance their self-image and improve their smile.
Besides creating smiles, Dr. Veltkamp enjoys golfing, skiing, fishing, mountain climbing, and coaching football. He occasionally grows giant pumpkins, has been seen kayaking in the oddest places, and is not afraid to try new adventures. He has had the privilege of serving various humanitarian causes, both locally and abroad. What he loves most is spending time with his wife (Dr. Jody Veltkamp) and being a father to his children.

We also want you to feel comfortable and confident throughout your entire orthodontic experience, and our practice is dedicated to making sure that you receive the quality care you deserve.
Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!
Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.

The staff and doctor made me feel extremely comfortable with taking about adult orthodontics. I was nervous for what they may say about my teeth. But I feel comfortable with making the decision to try Invisalign.

The doctor provided a comprehensive consult and I was able to make an informed decision about my care. The financial planner was friendly, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. There are no surprises about the cost of care and how my insurance carrier will pay out. There is a discount on the cost of braces if you schedule your treatments during a certain times of the day. Nice clinic!

6 Stars ! We went in for a free consultation and every individual was over the top kind, informative, and helpful. The atmosphere was intentionally positive throughout. My 12 year old daughter is excited to begin treatment. I will happily be utilizing there simple and affordable payment plan .

I love this orthodontist. I have full confidence in everything he does. I have taken all 3 of my children and my niece to see Veltkamp, and now I am in Invisalign myself. Fun caring staff make all the appointments the most fun. Clean office, attention to details. I cannot say enough about Veltkamp orthodontics. Love love love them.

Karla and Jess were just the most fun couple of ladies. I seriously couldn't believe how much I was laughing and fun I was having at the dentist! They were warm, kind, professional, and efficient. I'm very grateful for our time together and hope they get huge raises.

I called when they opened and not only was the desk attendant bubbly and kind, they offered a great price being that I'm a college student. She got me an appointment that would allow me to do impressions and become a new patient on the same day. I am extremely pleased with this office already. EDIT: I went to my appointment and EVERYONE was fun, easy to talk to AND they got me scanned for my retainers, I became a new patient AND I can pick my retainers up SAME DAY. This was the most convenient place, for quickness, pricing and overall quality ortho work. I will be recommending this clinic and spreading good words with my short but incredible experience!
