I am passionate about dentistry. From initially meeting a patient to the end of treatment, I want that person to know I am here for them. I want to help, to answer their questions, and be their partner in achieving their oral health goals.
Each patient receives our full attention during their visits: they deserve nothing less. This sets our practice apart from many others. My staff and I actively listen in order to understand a persons dental needs and dreams, then work hard to get them to the finish line with a healthy, happy smile.
My work is exciting because of the variety of people I meet and each persons unique care requirements. Every day is a different experience, with new patients, new challenges, and new conversations. The conversations are particularly rewarding. Im a people-person and enjoy getting to sit down and talk with each person.
Im constantly seeking to further my skills and knowledge of dentistry. I want my patients to receive the best care; that requires me to constantly improve myself. By pursuing continuing education courses, Im able to stay at the leading-edge of changes in the profession. Technological advances and new approaches to treatment mean more options for my patients, an improved care experience, and the best results.
I provide volunteer dental care through the Mission of Mercy and several international dental programs. Giving back to the community is a very rewarding experience. Ive been blessed to use my skills to help people in need.
I was born and raised in the Southside Indianapolis area and graduated from Roncalli High School. I love being part of the Indiana community. My family is originally from Colombia, hence my Spanish name.
My wonderful wife and I met in high school and have been together ever since. Weve been happily married for more than four years, have two young daughters, and live in Greenwood. We are dog lovers and share our home with two Boxers.
When Im not working or studying, my priority is time with my family. I love being outdoors, whether Im hiking in our state parks or enjoying a leisurely stroll with my wife and daughters. Im also an auto enthusiast and love watching Formula 1 and IndyCar races.

I joined Dr. Velez and his team in January of 2019. I have loved learning all of the new dental procedures with him. Dr. Velez never stops learning and he continues to teach me new skills everyday. Hands down were here at Velez Family and Cosmetic Dentistry have the best patients and the best team. We all love creating smiles.
I am a certified expanded functions dental assistant. I have been a dental assistant since 2006, and became certified as an expanded functions assistant at the IU School of Dentistry in 2010. I joined this practice in 2016 and thoroughly enjoy being a part of this great team! I also enjoy helping patients achieve healthy smiles and workhard to meet their dental needs.
I attended the University of Cincinnati for my RDH degree and joined this office in 2002. I am passionate about helping my patients improve and maintain their oral health, partly through cleanings and periodontal maintenance, but also through education. I look forward to interacting with my patients each day, and making sure that all of their needs are met. My team is another reason why I love coming to work. Everyone is fun and upbeat, and working with the same people for so many years feels like working with family.

My appointment started on time, the Staff engaged in pleasant conversation and thoroughly reviewed my procedure. Dr explained everything prior to each process. As much as I dread a dental appointment, this one exceeded all expectations!
