Born in Vietnam. 2nd oldest of 6. Total number of pictures for family of 8 until I was in college: less than 36. Realized at age 20 art of seeing my surroundings in more detail: photography and biology.
Fascinated with how biology, dentistry, and photography are closely tied together. Above picture says it all. I try to recreate nature (your teeth) with precision to match its intended function. After all, photography is trying to recreate a moment in time.
Dental degree from University of the Pacific in 2000. Y2K bug did not affect all school records before that. Have a compulsion to apply high technology to treating patients. Discovered that patient care can benefit from going paperless and forever archived. One of the first offices in Davis to use digital x-rays. Got into CAD-CAM dentistry before 3-D printing became popular.

I have only had wonderful experiences at Dr. Tran's office! He is very knowledgable, kind, and patient. He always takes the time to make sure that any questions that I have are answered. I was also impressed by all of the up-to-date technology that his office utilizes! Additionally, even in the times of COVID-19, I felt incredibly safe going into his office. All of his staff and he were wearing N-95 Masks and face shields and a large air filtration fan was the room where I had my appointment. I waited in my car until they were ready for me and I was the only patient in the office during my appointment. The chairs, doorhandles, basically everything was sanitized between patients. It is very clear that Dr. Tran genuinely cares about the health and wellbeing of his patients and his staff. If you're looking for a dentist in Davis, Dr. Tran is the best!

I have been a patient for more than a decade and the experience has always been pleasant. Dr. Tran is very caring and makes his patients very comfortable. His office has a warm and welcoming feeling to it that you don't mind being in the dentist's office at all, let alone sitting in the patient's chair. His assistant is very helpful and friendly. Chatting with Dr. Tran during the visit while looking at those beautiful pictures he took himself is like adding seasoning to a bland dish.

The entire staff here is very friendly. Dr Sang is very knowledgeable and very informative. He laid out a very good treatment plan for me and also referred me to other competent dentists for more specialized work. What I really appreciate though was how the staff was able to fit my busy schedule and squeeze in appointments whenever I needed it. Would definitely recommend him to all my friends.

Dr. Tran is such a warm, gentle and skilled dentist. My daughter had a few cavities filled. She was in and out in no time with virtually no pain at all....bright, cheery office and Christobal, the dental assistant, is always friendly and helpful when scheduling appointments. I would definitely recommend this dental practice!
