Dr. Karen Varone grew up outside of Philadelphia, PA and completed her undergraduate degree at Penn State University. She attended the University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore, Maryland where she found a love of helping others through her volunteer work with Operation Smile, which allowed her to travel all over the globe and work with patients from different cultures and backgrounds. From there she attended the prestigious Ohio State University where she received specialty training in orthodontics as well as a master's degree in oral biology. Dr. Varone's graduate research concentrated on patients' satisfaction with orthodontic treatment, something she strives to bring to Varone Orthodontics

Dr. Varone practiced orthodontics in the Washington DC area before moving to Sarasota in 2004.Dr. Varone is a board certified diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. She believes her patients deserve the very best treatments available and is passionate about staying up to date on the latest developments in orthodontics, including advancedtraining in Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics, a process that enables orthodontic treatment to be completed in 3-4 times less than conventional orthodontics, meaning as little as 3-8 months in many cases. Sheis a Diamond Provider of Invisalign due to the large amount of clinical experience she has had treating patients with Invisalign. Dr. Varone is one of the few certified providers of Incognito lingual braces in Sarasota, and she are trained in the use of temporary anchorage devices (TADs), which can allow vast orthodontic improvements. Dr. Varonealso works with local dental assisting programs giving lectures and training students.

Dr. Varone has always had a love of the beach so she feels quite at home in Sarasota. She loves all types of fitness, and you can find her (and her kids) representing Varone Orthodontics at the Siesta Key summer beach runs as well as many other local runs and events. She is a big supporter of local schools and community organizations, finding time to volunteer in the classrooms at Ashton Elementaryand Pine View School where her children attend.

Dr. Vand her husband live in Sarasota with their two young boyswho keep them very busy! She enjoys cooking, especially the Italian recipes her mother and grandmother taught her. Dr V and her family enjoy boating and traveling and she has recently taken up golf so she can keep up with the boys as they improve!

Donna moved to Florida in 2003. She grew up and raised her family in Jamestown, NY. Donna Joined Dr. Varone when the practice opened in 2005 as the office coordinator. She loves spending time with family and friends and going to her grandson's baseball games. Donna resides in Lakewood Ranch with her husband. They have three grown children and two grandchildren.

Diane has worked in the field of orthodontics since 2006. Her favorite thing about orthodontics is watching patients go through treatment and seeing the change from start to finish. The best part of her job is helping patients and co-workers whenever possible. Diane is a native of Bowling Green, Ohio and has lived in Bradenton since 1984. When she is not at the office she enjoys spending time with her fiance Tom, daughter Jenna, son Jonathan and her granddaughter Skylynn.

Trisha moved to Florida in 1993 from Illinois. She has 3 adult children and 2 dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Trisha has worked in dentistry for over 20 years. She enjoys working with people and seeing their smile transform.

Originally from the United Kingdom, Sally has worked in orthodontics since 2003 and has her certification in Orthodontic assisting. Sally loves working in orthodontics because it's fun, we work hard, but we are always smiling and laughing. Sally also enjoys spending time with her husband, Ed, her dogs and 2 daughters. Her favorite things to do are traveling, watching Manchester United and reading a good book while relaxing by the pool or at the beach.

Carrie has lived in Sarasota for 26 years. She enjoyed growing up in mid-Michigan but does not miss the cold weather. Carrie started assisting 21 years ago and is married with two children. She spends her free time with family and friends.

Tammy moved to Florida in 2013 from Kansas City, Missouri where she was a certified orthodontic assistant since 2001. She joined Varone Orthodontics in 2014 and enjoys working with such a talented team. She loves creating beautiful smiles for her patients. Tammy is a mother to two beautiful daughters and a grandmother to two wonderful grandchildren. In her spare time she loves enjoying what brought her to Florida - the beaches. Tammy lives in Bradenton and enjoysbike riding, traveling and dancing.

Jessica was born and raised in our beautiful Sunshine State.Jessica started working in the orthodontic field in 2016. New to the profession, she loves seeing the excitement on the patient's faces when they see their new smile. Jessica loves going to the beach, going to soccer games and fishing with her family.

Shandi is originally from the Pacific Northwest and moved to Florida with her husband and daughter over 2 years ago. Shandi graduated in 2004 with an Associate's Degree in Dental Assisting and has been in the career ever since. Although she specialized as a pediatric dental assistant, she always had a love for orthodontics. With 5 years experience in orthodontics, one of the many reasons why she loves this facet of dentistry is because of the patients and being a part of their smile transformations--that's the best part of the job! Shandi and her family reside in Venice and love! love! love! the beach. They also enjoy dining with friends and family, bike riding, and traveling.
