Being the father of my two beautiful children is my greatest accomplishment and pride thus far I love to spend every free moment with them. They have taught me so much, including humility, patience, and how to listen. Communicating effectively and understanding the needs of children in my practice is a direct translation of my experience as a dad. While continuing education is a requirement of my profession, I believe my best work training is found in being a dad.A personal experience led me to pursue a career in orthodontics. At the age of seven, I sustained serious damage to my teeth in a school bus accident. Six years of extensive orthodontic treatment followed. Not only was the problem corrected, but it created the desire for my professional life. Dedication and skill help me to educate others about the benefits of orthodontics.
Community outreach is a part of my practice. Since coming to Rome in 1996, I have been active in the community. I have been blessed to be a major sponsor for the Ridge Ferry Park playground project and have been able to give back to the schools in our area through Partners in Education, a program that helps to provide a well-rounded education.
Field trips to our office are a highlight of my practice. I enjoy the opportunity to help educate children on the importance of proper dental care. Giving of time is very important to me. I am currently serving as a board member of the Sexual Assault Center. Winning the Peoples Choice award for the Rome Celebrity Dance Challenge was a rewarding experience. I enjoyed the challenge of learning my dance number, but I most enjoyed the fundraising and giving back to a great cause.
My family and I continue to stay involved in our community. We enjoy an active church life as well as participate in various community organizations. When time permits, I like to bike, ski, play tennis, and spend time with Sophia and Denton.
In addition, we want to be the practice you can come to rely on for providing concierge service in a caring, sensitive, and safe environment. It is the goal of our team to stay abreast of the latest technological advances, reduce wait time, and educate our patients through every step of their treatment. Nothing pleases us more than to have patients return to our office with stories about how their smile made them feel better about themselves. Ultimately, improving our patients self-esteem and enhancing their smile empowers our team to excel.

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!
Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.

Vargo Orthodontics is a great office. The staff is so nice and always answers all of my questions. My son has a lot of anxiety with his visits. But the staff and Dr Vargo have always been very nice and understanding. They have shown a lot of patience and kindness towards him. As a Mom I'm very thankful for that.

Everyone was very nice and explained everything to me. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because you have to pay down 50 percent and are not able to pay less down and stretch out more payments especially if they have to be on for 20 months. I can't afford that much at once. But they do have where you can build up the down payment which is good I guess you just don't know how long that may take.

My last child finished Phase I today and we are thrilled with his results (not surprising though)! 22 years now as a Vargo patient with zero regrets! As a dental hygienist for 20 years now, I have been able to see start and finish results from various orthodontist and the saying holds true, seeing really is believing! I have heard many parents say they went with a different orthodontist because they were cheaper (insert bug eyed emoji)!!!! Let me ask you parents something, exactly how much are you paying for those iPhones? Your child's teeth are a FOREVER investment! Myself and all of my children have Vargo Smiles and so do many of my dental hygiene friends and their kids! If you are considering orthodontic treatment for yourself or your child--do the research, ask around and compare prices, but remember, you get what you pay for! :)
