I completed my Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Temple University School of Dentistry in 1998, and my Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Lancaster Cleft Palate Clinic. I earned my Master of Science degree and Orthodontic Certificate from Temple University School of Dentistry in 2001.
I am a certified SureSmile doctor, specializing in lingual braces, and am a Certified Invisalign Provider for teens and adults. In addition to orthodontic treatment, I treat TMJ disorders and cleft lip and palate in both adults and children.
I am a life-long learner. Staying on top of the most up-to-date research and findings keeps me informed of how best to treat each patient. I take advantage of every continuing education opportunity my schedule allows. CE keeps me current on new developments in technology and treatments and allows me to learn from the leaders in the field as well as from my peers. I participate in numerous meetings, conference, lectures, and a study club with my local colleagues. This ensures I am able to provide my patients with the best options available to create their amazing smile.
Community involvement and service are some of my greatest passions. I love the Jupiter neighborhood and the families who live here. I am proud business partner with many schools and former sponsor of the Lighthouse and Beacon Cove Elementary Schools Fun Fair.My team also provides our local schools with fun and educational programs on dental hygiene. My wife, Ellen, is a former Director at Temple Beth Am, and my children attend the Hebrew school. I am looking forward to growing with this amazing community for many years to come.
I was born in Rochester, New York but have lived in the Jupiter area since 1973. I grew up speaking Spanish with my Argentinian parents and am fully bilingual.I have been happily married to my wife Ellen since 1994. We have three amazing boys: Al Jr., Aden, and Enrique. Being a father has been the most rewarding challenge, and I look forward to seeing my children grow and become the remarkable individuals they are destined to become. When Im not in the office or with my family, I enjoy golfing, cooking, reading books, and listening to music. On the weekends, I can often be found off-shore fishing. I also love the ultra marathon.
Originally from Savannah GA, Ellen earned her BA in Economics from Emory University in Atlanta and a DMD from Temple University, School of Dentistry, in Philadelphia. She participated in a General Practice Residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and also worked as an associate professor at Temple University, School of Dentistry, in the Oral Medicine Department. She currently is practicing general dentistry in South Florida and assists with the administrative and miscellaneous duties at Vargas Orthodontics as needed. She has been married to her husband, Alberto, since 1995 and they have 3 sons. She enjoys music, art, piano, and the outdoors.
Treatment Coordinator Juliann is a Massachusetts native and loves all Boston Sports! She moved to Florida in 1995 and then spent some time in North Carolina and returned to her happy place here in Florida in 2016. She has been in the dental field for 30+ years and is an avid equestrian and loves all animals. Her hobbies include spending time with her family and friends boating, paddle boarding, running, riding or just relaxing on the beach. Juliann looks forward to meeting new patients and their families and assisting them with their orthodontic journey here at Vargas Orthodontics.
Patient Manager Meagan joined the Vargas Team in 2018 with 7 years of orthodontic experience. She enjoys being a part of a team that works together while taking the utmost care of our patients. She finds it rewarding to impact peoples lives and smiles every day. In her free time she enjoys reading, riding her bike and spending time with family and friends.
Patient Manager Originally from New York, Lea moved to Jupiter with seven years of orthodontic experience and joined the Vargas Team in 2014. She enjoys making patients feel comfortable and helping them improve their self-esteem all while developing an amazing smile. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, fixing cars and playing video games.
Financial/Scheduling Coordinator Katie joined the Vargas Team in 2014 and has worked in the Orthodontic field since 2007. She enjoys getting know our patients and their families and is there to help you understand your financial options for treatment or simply just get you a cup of coffee. When she is outside the office you will catch her with her husband enjoying trips to Disney, spending time with friends and family or catching a Florida Gator game. Go Gators!!
Office Manager Molly has been a member of the Vargas Orthodontics team since 2003. Molly enjoys watching our friends go through their smile journey, and is happy to be part of a family that shares the passion and motivation to not only straighten teeth but have an impact on lives. Molly and her husband have two beautiful children and adore spending time with them.

Our patients experience significantly shorter treatment times and have fewer office visits with their custom digital orthodontic treatment plan. We are also able to make our patients more comfortable by using iTero, a 3D digital scanner. This enables us to take a 3D digital scan of our patients teeth and bite to create customized clear aligner treatment. No more messy impressions! Using a 3D digital scan allows for more accuracy and a better treatment outcome in your amazing smile journey.
