Dr. William M. Vandervoort was born and raised in Anniston, Alabama. He completed his undergraduate studies with honors at The University of Alabama in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. In 2014, he graduated from The University of Alabama School of Dentistry where he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine.
After dental school, Dr. Vandervoort completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at The Foundry Dental Center in Bessemer, Alabama. Through the residency program, he received advanced training in IV sedation, oral surgery, implant placement and restoration, prosthodontics, endodontics, and restorative and preventive dentistry.
Dr. Vandervoort is an active member of the American and Alabama Dental Associations, the Academy of General Dentistry, UAB Dentistry Leadership Council, Tuscaloosa Spear Dental Study Club, and was a graduate of the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama Leadership Tuscaloosa 2016-2017 class.
Upon graduation from dental school in 2014, he was awarded for achievement in dental anesthesiology, endodontics, and implant dentistry. Dr. Vandervoort is committed to continuing education to remain current with the latest dental methods and advancements in technology.
Dr. Vandervoort has been in private practice in Tuscaloosa for six years. He and his wife, Nancy, have three daughters, Virginia, Julia, and Elizabeth. He enjoys sports, hunting, traveling, the outdoors, and spending time with family.

I've spent quite a bit of time at Dr Vandervoort's practice over the last several months due to childhood trauma to my mouth. Each time I've been, I've been greeted with a smile and genuine concern about how I'm doing and feeling. The assistants and Dr Will are the most caring, thoughtful and experienced dental professionals I've ever come into contact with. I've asked lots of questions and had plenty of follow ups, yet they never act like I'm inconveniencing them. I look forward to seeing my sweet friends each time I go, regardless of how extensive it is. Thank you for taking care of me, Dr Will, Tara, Kenny, Marlena and Penny!

I couldn't ask for a better Dental office for myself and for my family. Anytime I speak to the office on the phone or whenever I'm greeted in person for an appointment- they are always super friendly and polite. The hygienist and the dental assistants are also fabulous! The experience I had at the dentist office, was great. When I walked through the door, I didn't have to sign in, because I had already filled out the forms they provided through their website. Everyone that came in contact with me, introduced themselves. I must say I was well taking care of on my first visit.

I had just moved to Tuscaloosa/Northport this summer, Dr. Will Vandervoort was recommended by my dentist in Nashville and it was a recommendation well deserved. Everyone there was so kind and pleasant! The Hygeintist took so much time with me and explained everything. The dentist took time and explained everything, options about what to do and when it needed it. The dentist told me things I never knew. Dr. Will Vandervoort and Hygeintist Julie were wonderful. I have nothing but praises for everyone there from the time I arrived until I left!
