Dr. William M. Vandervoort was born and raised in Anniston, Alabama. He completed his undergraduate studies with honors at The University of Alabama in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. In 2014, he graduated from The University of Alabama School of Dentistry where he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine.
After dental school, Dr. Vandervoort completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at The Foundry Dental Center in Bessemer, Alabama. Through the residency program, he received advanced training in IV sedation, oral surgery, implant placement and restoration, prosthodontics, endodontics, and restorative and preventive dentistry.
Dr. Vandervoort is an active member of the American and Alabama Dental Associations, the Academy of General Dentistry, UAB Dentistry Leadership Council, Tuscaloosa Spear Dental Study Club, and was a graduate of the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama Leadership Tuscaloosa 2016-2017 class.
Upon graduation from dental school in 2014, he was awarded for achievement in dental anesthesiology, endodontics, and implant dentistry. Dr. Vandervoort is committed to continuing education to remain current with the latest dental methods and advancements in technology.
Dr. Vandervoort has been in private practice in Tuscaloosa for six years. He and his wife, Nancy, have three daughters, Virginia, Julia, and Elizabeth. He enjoys sports, hunting, traveling, the outdoors, and spending time with family.
