Dr. VanBeck lives in the local community with his wife and two young children. He is an accomplished award winning concert pianist with a masters and doctorate of musical arts. In his life before dentistry, Peter travelled and performed with several symphony orchestras across the US and Europe. After deciding to follow in his fathers footsteps, he went back to school and received his degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He remains an active member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, and the Washtenaw District Dental Society. Dr. VanBeck is also an avid reader of Spanish literature, an accomplished tennis player, and enjoys coaching his sons soccer team.
Dr. Masabni earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the American University of Beirut and his Bachelor of Oral and Dental Surgery from BAU. He attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, where he served as chief resident. He is specially trained in Periodontology, Implantology & IV sedation, and received a Master of Science. Dr. Masabni is currently a clinical affiliate professor at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, encouraging the next generation of dentists to have the same passion for periodontology.
A graduate of Concorde Career Institute in Jacksonville, FL, Angie has over 10 years of experience in the dental field. Angies strength is her compassion which helps her ease patients' concerns, calm their nerves and makes them want to return for continued long term care. When not at the office you can find Angie exploring our local Washtenaw County parks with her husband and kids, taking care of her many pets or at her favorite restaurant in Saline Biawakio.
Monica graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry with a long list of degrees and certifications all of which are put to good use in Dr. VanBeck's office. True joy comes from seeing her patients make positive changes in their self care and helping them achieve optimal oral health care outcomes. With Dr. Lee since 2014, Monica has developed a special gift of calming nerves when necessary and at educating and motivating patients to improve their home oral care practices.
Originally from Vancouver BC, Shelora made her way to our Ann Arbor in 2018 via stops in Pennsylvania and North Carolina. She has worked in the dental field since 1994, and graduated from the Allegany College of Maryland with an associates degree in applied sciences in 1997. As a registered dental hygienist, she gets great satisfaction in working with her patients to positively impact their overall oral health and well being. Exploring Ann Arbor with her husband and two kids has been a wonderful experience.
'I absolutely love my job, my patients, and coworkers. Most importantly, I love to help fix peoples smiles. It fills my heart with joy.' Simply put, Sierra Mullins has found her calling and is totally committed to her career in the dental field. As a dental assistant to Dr Lee and a recent graduate of LISD Tech in Adrian MI, Sierra quickly became an integral part of the office team and looks forward to completing her degree in Oral Hygiene in 2020. In her spare time, Sierra enjoys her time with family and friends and is committed to community involvement in and around Ann Arbor.
Treatment estimates, financial arrangements, insurance verifications and scheduling are just a few of the many tasks that Danielle manages behind the scenes to ensure a positive experience and for all Dr. VanBeck's patients. As a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma WA, Dani found comfort in her role of assisting patients on their journey and helping them afford the treatment they need. Being a patient advocate comes naturally after spending 9 years as a competitive cheerleader and coach!

I always feel thoroughly attended to when I visit Dr. Van Beck and his staff. They are professional and competent, but also friendly and kind. I appreciate that they take the time beyond dental care to develop a personal connection. I strongly recommend this dentist.

I was nervous when I went in after Dr. VanBeck took over the dental practice because I have severe dental anxiety and I finally got accustomed to the dentist before him and trusted her. Dr VanBeck though did not disappoint! He's gentle and communicative! He has done fairly extensive work on my teeth due to me slacking during the pandemic and I can confidently say you will be in good hands! They also have fabulous surgically clean air purifiers. Everything in there is so immaculately clean - I love it

The office was bright and adorably decorated. Welcoming and smiling faces greeted me upon arrival. Everyone was really nice and communicated with me every step of the way. They really wanted to make sure I felt comfortable.

Superb care by Monica!! Great communique and insurance handling by Angie!! Monica took the time to professionally examine me and suggest some resolutions!! Mostly I need deep root planing/cleanings! This is what brought me to the practice of Dr. Julie Lee many years ago! I am so thankful to be in this practice!! My smile shows it all!! This was my first time at Van Beck and it was such a great experience! The staff were so kind and warm, as was Dr. VanBeck. I feel very confident that I got great dental care today, and will continue to moving forward!

They were aware that I was paying with cash, but they did not provide any written estimate to me. I scheduled a cleaning which I asked the cost beforehand, and was told it would be $180. However they did not inform me that they were doing charting of the gums and intense gum cleaning. I was charged over $500 for the one hour appointmet. The hygienist only did deep cleaning of one quarter of my teeth. My gums were so havingsore afterward. I couldn't floss that area.I complained and I attempted to resolve the issue. They were unapologetic. Sent me a text message saying they were going to charge me $400. However I was billed the full $500 and had to get my dental cleaning done elsewhere. They were dishonest and overcharged me.
