Since 1977, Dr. Ronda J. Van Horn has been providing her patients with exceptional general and cosmetic dentistry. Highly educated and well trained, she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Dr. Van Horn also completed a Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry, and she is a Level 6 Graduate of Oral Bioesthetics International.
Dr. Van Horn feels it is important to stay on the cutting-edge of dentistry in order to offer her patients the most advanced treatments. Thus, she maintains memberships in many prestigious professional organizations to keep up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies. She is currently a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association and the Academy of Oral Bioesthetics.
Dr. Van Horn volunteers with many organizations to give back to the local community. She is involved with Eaton Rapids Rotary, Eaton Rapids Athletic Department, Autism Speaks, Capital Area Down Syndrome Association and Women Working Wonders.

Ourteam is highly skilled, uniquely trained and aims to provide unparalleled service to each patient! Ourteam members have specialized training and multiple certifications, and each team member has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care! We strive to staycurrentin the latest in technology and advancements by attending continuing education courses and seminars taught by the Michigan Dental Association, OSHA, Total Patient Services and Crown Council. We routinely update our CPR certifications and knowledge about HIPAA.
Our Dental Hygienist is Lisa. She graduated from Delta College in 1990 and has been practicing for the past 27 years. She loves helping her patients with their oral health; teaching and gentleness are her passion. Lisa always listens to your concerns and isnt judgmental. She has a reputation for being gentle but is also excellent at cleaning your teeth. She has lived in Eaton Rapids for 23 years and loves her small town. When not busy at the office, she and her husband enjoy time up at Higgins Lake. They have two grown children that round out the family picture. No matter what past dental experiences you have had, be assured that Lisa can help you strive toward better dental health.
Amanda is our Dental Assistant. She has been in the dental field since 2009, joining Island City Dentistry in February 2017. Amandas favorite part of her job is giving someone confidence in their smile. Always thriving for a higher standard of dental care and empowering patients to take control of their dental health. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family in Springport. She has been married for 12 years. She and her husband Nick have two children, Hunter and Elly.
Ashley is our office coordinator and can be found at the front desk going over insurance and collections with patients. Ashley is new to the dental field but has been in healthcare since 2007, her main priority is the patients and strives to make them feel comfortable when making decisions, whether it be for their physical or financial wellbeing. She lives in Eaton Rapids with her husband Corey and two children Emma and Gage. They enjoy spending time together, taking long drives exploring new places is a favorite pastime they share.

My husband has been needing his tooth pulled for quite some time now as it's broken and he's in a lot of pain. They scheduled him on a Monday we went to his appointment to find the office was closed and no one was there. Tried calling but no answer. Thought maybe we got the day mixed up or the time but we both looked at the confirmation text he had received prior. They then rescheduled for the next Monday and he got another call saying the doctor was sick so he had to reschedule again for another month out. As someone who works in the dental field I feel as this is so unprofessional.

Always a wonderful experience at this office. Everyone makes you feel like family and so comfortable. I drive an hour to get there and an hour home ,but it is soooo worth it!!!! Number One care. I've been to many dentists in my 64 years and this one is the best by a landslide. Wouldn't think of going anywhere else!!!

Dr Van Horn has been my dentist for years, and she has gone above and beyond to be sure regardless of how bad my cavity is, she saves that tooth. She's very gentle and assures you are as comfortable as possible in that chair. Very attentive assistants as well. You all do such a great job. 5 stars is an understatement. As for those complaining about the high prices, you get what you pay for. Very great service and help to ensure your smile is as bright as always

Beware, beware! Money hungry dentist! She will "recommend" things that you should do and when it doesn't work out for you...too bad for you! I have never paid such outrageous amounts for my dental care after insurance has paid their part. I told her that I have been ripped off by people before, but never by a professional person. She couldn't get off her stool & dissappear fast enough! I always try to do business with local people, but in this case save yourself some money & take your business to another local dentist!

Going to the dentist can be an anxiety-provoking experience for many people, but Dr. Ronda Van Horn puts you at ease from the moment you walk into her office. She is patient and thoughtful, always taking the time to explain everything she is doing. I have found Dr. Van Horn to be extremely honest and I feel that she truly looks out for her patients' best interests. I would highly recommend her to anyone! Update: I've had my bite plane from Dr. Ronda for a few months now and it has changed my life. I'm a chronic grinder and no longer have nearly the sore jaw that I used to have, and can sleep peacefully knowing I'm not working on grinding my teeth down to nubs. Dr. Ronda was also extremely patient with me in the fitting process, shaping the bite plane over and over until she got it to fit my weird bite perfectly. I am incredibly grateful to have her as my dentist!
