After practicing for more than 30 years, I love the fact that I still love going to work in the morning. I truly feel spoiled as a dentist that I have such loyal team members and that we have our own dental lab on site. I am so proud to have staff members that have been with us for ten, 15, even 25 years. It is truly our caring and friendly staff that makes Van Buren what we are. Dr. Dahm is an alumnus of Chaminade High School and earned a degree in economics from theUniversity of Dayton. After taking time off to join the military, he realized he wanted to go back to school to pursue a career in dentistry. He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1978, and has been treating patients with his caring, gentle demeanor ever since. He believes in painless dentistry, and truly listening to his patients in order to come up with their best treatment plan.
Dr. Dahm has a loving wife who you will find smiling behind the front desk at Van Buren Dental. He is the proud father of two daughters, Alex and Natalie. The entire Van Buren team was very excited to see Alex graduate from The Ohio State College of Dentistry and joined our team in the summer of 2020! Natalie is a chef in Cincinnati, OH, creating amazing dishes at the restaurant Cinque.
Dr. Dahms other true passion is tennis, so when he is not at work, you will find him on the tennis court or traveling with the USTA Mens 65+ Team all over the world to compete. In 2014 he playing at the Mens 65+ World Tournament in Croatia and was able to bring home the Mens Doubles Gold Medal. Dr. Dahm also enjoys traveling with his wife to Naples, Florida, to spend time in the sun, enjoy the beach, and of course, play tennis.

Dr. Shepler enjoys taking care of his patients general and cosmetic dental needs, as well as providing them with tooth-colored fillings, crowns and bridges, dentures and partials, and teeth whitening.
Born and raised in Dayton, Dr. Shepler graduated from Northmont High School in 1986, then attended The Ohio State University on a track scholarship. He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1993.
Because he believes in being knowledgeable aboutthe newest advances in dentistry, he keeps himself abreast by enrolling in continuing education classes. He enjoys treating his patients as people, wanting to help them achieve and maintain the healthiest smile possible.
Dr. Natalie Hoza is a native of Atlanta. She attended the University of Georgia, where she received her Bachelor of Science in chemistry. Dr. Hoza earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Dental College of Georgia. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, and Dayton Dental Society, and is passionate about keeping her skills on the cutting edge of her field.
Her favorite part of being a dentist is seeing the huge impact a healthy smile and mouth can have on a person. She enjoys all aspects of restorative and family dentistry, with a focus on providing genuine and gentle dental care.
