They just replaced a broken crown on my # 4 molar and did an excel ant job. I have been looking for another dentist for my oral health care and preventative maintenance. I have found a practice here that actually cares about their patients oral health care and could not be happier in my choice thanks to the professional staff at this facility.

Horrible experience. I came in early 2022 to see Dr Frankel, he was away because of an accident. Another Dentist made the mold for my bottom partial and said it would be back in 8 weeks. We were moving in May mid month. My partial never came. I called numerous times. I was then told that Dr. Frankel left the practice and my partial was not ever sent out by the new dentist. I moved in May to Arizona and then found out that they charged my insurance company for the visit and the partial that they said they never sent out. I called again and was told I was incorrect. Its now October of 2022, and I get a call from Maggie, she has little English and doesn't communicate well. Now she says my partial has been there all along and they can mail it too me ? Its been almost 9 months. Im sure my teeth have shifted and it will need to be modified by another Dentist here in Arizona. When this was processed, I was told by the previous front office girl there was no co-pay, now of course there is. They refuse to send them after losing them for 9 months unless I come in to pay $348. They know they will not fit after this amount of time and they still won't admit they lost them and now I have to pay another dentist to hopefully get them to fit properly. But, they want a co-pay now. Needless to say I won't be paying it. I am filing insurance fraud charges against them. I asked for the owner Robert S. Aron to call me. There has been no response. Dr. Frankel was an honest caring man and he was the only thing good about this practice. Robert S. Arons phone number and address are easily found online if you need to send him legal paperwork. If I sound angry, you have no idea!!!

My original experience with Dr. Frankel was good, so I returned. It took 6 weeks to get my partial, which was wrong, so it went back, Dr Frankel was injured, so his office in basically a mess. 6 months and still wrong, and after waiting 1-1/2 hrs., the man, not sure his job was, very rude and so I just took my partial (paid for 6 months ago) and left. Never to return.

BELIEVE ME WHEN IVE HEARD IT COMING FROM SOMEONE WHO ONCE WORKED IN THAT OFFICE! DO NOT! ABSOLUTELY DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING TO THAT OFFICE! HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL ! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY! THEY'LL TELL YOU THAT CERTAIN PROCEDURES ARE NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE AND PUSH YOU INTO PAYING FOR SOMETHING THAT YOUR INSURANCE WILL PAY! SOUNDS LIKE INSURANCE FRAUD TO ME! BE CAREFUL WITH THE LADY AT THE FRONT MAGGIE! SHE WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY! YOUR APPOINTMENTS WILL GET CANCELED 1000 times before your seen! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! YOUR APPOINTMENT WOULD BE SCHEDULED FOR 12:00 YOU WONT GET SEEN UNTIL 12:45! VERY UNSANITARY OFFICE!

On April 2021, I went because I had a toothache. They told me I had an abscess and needed a root canal and a crown. And that it would cost me $1875.00. that I had to pay $937.50 right away, which I did, I was prescribed antibiotics, and they gave me an appointment. I returned on April for the root canal procedure and molds were taken to make the crown. They charged me the other part of the balance ($937.50) and I left that day with a temporary crown. Weeks later, they called me to inform me that the crown had arrived, I went and, despite having molds done, the crown was too big. They attempted to fix the crown, but they happened to damage it. They left me with the Damaged/enlarged crown as a temporary one. I also informed them that I was still in pain, and they said it was normal. Reached back weeks later to inform me that the new crown had already arrived. I went, had the new crown put in, but, after a few weeks, the crown broke off and caused a lot of pain. I returned, and they were able to temporarily fix the broken crown with acrylic. Once again, I had to wait another 5-6 weeks. Called stating that the new crown had arrived, Appointment scheduled for October. They measured my new crown and said it should fit fine, however, I once again insisted that I was still in pain. They decided to take an x-ray prior to installing the new crown, and not only did they discover that the original abscess was still there, but it was even larger than before. This time, I was sent home with my tooth exposed because they did not even place a temporary crown. I was told that they would contact me on October 15 to see how we should proceed. Until today, nearly 5 months after this date, they have yet to contact me. In conclusion, I paid for a root canal & crown April 2021. As of March 2022, not only do I not have a crown to protect my exposed tooth from the root canal but also the abscess is much larger and the pain remains.

I had two cabs put on by this office for over two years I had to go back and have them re-attach those caps every 4 to 6 months, And later I found out they kept no record of my return visits. The last time I was there they took my two caps and threw them in the sharps box and told me their person picked them up. Then they tried to trick me into buying $10,000 worth of dental work to fix their mistakes. They might be a lifesaver to some, but to me all they wanted to do was get into my wallet and not do the job properly. I'll never go back to this place that seem to be nothing but a money pit for a patient.

A few months back I had a bridge prep done. The office manager did some questionable untrustworthy office practices that I will not go into detail. She also spoke in a very broken English that was hard to understand. She was not only rude, but also ignored our questions. She also sent us a bill for items that were not in our agreement (which were cancelled by the office staff). Since then she has been replaced by a very sweet young woman named Lindsay. We are happy to recommend Dr Frankel Cathy Thao and Lindsay for your dental work.

DO NOT USE THIS DENTIST!! My family and I have been patients at this practice for over 20 years. Dr. Agee was amazing and Thao is absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately, when Dr. Agee left a few years ago, a few dentists took over and the practice took an immediate downturn. Every time I had an appointment, one of the dentists would try to tell me I needed some expensive whitening treatment or a new retainer (I got my braces off in 1993!!), whereas Dr. Agee never tried to sell me something I didn't ask for! One of the dentists has a significant tremor, which was quite alarming, especially when it was not addressed but he proceeded to poke my mouth with the sharp tools. Since my dental health is so good, I've never had to have an actual procedure by this new staff, and really only stayed with the practice because we love Thao! However, about a year ago, my husband told the dentist he had a concerning ulcer in his mouth that wouldn't go away. My husband is on immunosuppressants due to a chronic disease that causes mouth ulcers that come and go and resolve quickly. However, he specifically reported this to the dentist. The dentist told him it was "nothing to worry about" and told him to aim a laser pointer at it! Then, sent him home. About 4 months later, when the lesion did not resolve, my husband was seen by an ENT doctor, who sent him immediately to a Head and Neck Surgical oncologist to confirm what was suspected. The surgical oncologist immediately biopsied and confirmed that he had Stage 2 Squamous Cell Carcinoma! Because it was not diagnosed or even biopsied by the dentist when my husband first reported it, he had to have invasive surgery to excise the mass, in addition to removal of all of his lymph nodes on the side of the mass! His oral range of motion is limited, he has numbness in his neck, ear, scalp and mouth, and has endured so much unnecessarily! It is well known that being on immunosuppressants are the 3rd leading cause of oral cancer and we trusted our dentist to have the medical knowledge to advocate for us and our health! As much as we hate to leave Thao, we have to protect ourselves and will be moving the whole family to somewhere we can trust. And, to top it all off, when I called to request my records to be emailed to my new dentist, the receptionist did not verify my identity other than asking my name...she did not ask my date of birth, my address, my middle name, nothing! Nor did she request that I sign anything to release my information to the other practice! This is 100% against the HIPAA laws!
