Dr. Valstad received his doctorate in Dental Medicine from Southern Illinois University in 1998. He spent the next two years as a lieutenant in the U.S. Public Health Service working as a senior assistant dental surgeon for the Indian Health Service in Shipwreck, New Mexico. He is pleased to have been practicing in Northern Colorado since 2000.
In a constant effort to improve patient care, Dr. Valstad dedicates time out of the office pursuing the latest developments in technology and treatment modalities. He participates in continuing education opportunities focusing on esthetic excellence, implant restorative dentistry, and restoring worn dentition. He regularly attends the Spear Learning Continuum at the Spear Center for Dental Education in Scottsdale, Arizona.
When Dr. Valstad is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family. He especially enjoys camping with his wife and young daughter and son. You may see him at the gym and on the bike trails in Fort Collins and Windsor.
Saudi began her dental career as a dental assistant over 20 years ago. She has practiced dental assisting in New Mexico, Germany (on a military post) and in California. After a decade in dental assisting, Saudi entered a Dental Hygiene program and graduated in 2012.
Josey Lee strives to make someone smile everyday, and she is passionate about spreading kindness like confetti!! Josey started her dental career as a receptionist, but went on to be a dental assistant and then a dental hygienist. She loves helping people achieve healthy & confident smiles.
Julia is new to the dental field and supports our team as a dental assistant. She loves being a dental assistant and learning from her teammates. In addition to assisting chairside, Julia enjoys helping out wherever she is needed.

Dr. Valstad and his team are wonderful. He fitted me for a night guard to help with teeth grinding, which also helped my TMJ. I also had to get my first crown and have had no issues with it. I appreciate that he never recommends unnecessary procedures. Overall, I've been very impressed with the professionalism of this dental office and their services.

Valstad Dental everyone there are so friendly and very professional they really care about you I give them 5 I was there a day ago and I totally agree in the way they greet you they make you feel like Family VALSTAD DENTAL I was just there 2 days ago they always greet me with a big smile they make me feel like family Dr Valstad and the staff are so awesome they will always get 5 Because they deserve it Dr Valstad and his staff really care about you and your teeth they make you feel comfortable it's a safe place to go all the way 1 of my co workers and his daughter go to Dr Valstad he was telling me that his little girl loves Dr Valstad and the staff because they are very carful with her I told her I give them 5 Because they are wonderful and she said yes they are When I visit Dr Valstad and his staff they always make sure that my teeth are taken care of they are a blessing to me they truly deserve 5

Everyone from the front office to Dr. Valstad were incredibly friendly! The hygienist and Dr. Valstad were complete professionals. I wish I could remember the hygienist's name but she was a temp today. She was so friendly and made me feel at ease. The cleaning was very thorough and she explained what she was doing the entire time. I'm so glad I found a dentist I feel like I can trust!

To say that I was pleased with their services would be an understatement. Dr. Herring is truly a caring dentist with GREAT follow up! He has gone out of his way just to keep me comfortable. He is also a bit of a comedian so I promise you'll laugh at least once. Then, there's Liddy G. Holy cow, she is both professional and caring, all at the same time. I felt so comfortable with her and her expertise. In all, this dental office is where you want to be should you have any dental needs. I promise you won't be disappointed!!

I highly recommend this dental team. An issue I have had in the past with dentists is they try and push unnecessary treatments. So far, I have not experienced that with this Dentist. I have been very pleased with the hygienists.

Today I got a crown. Only 90 minutes from start to finish. No more making a temporary crown and returning in two weeks for the permanent one. Dr. Valstad made the crown in the office. The whole process done in one visit.

First time at Vertias Dentistry and I can say that everyone there welcoming. The staff are helpful regarding my concerns.The place is very sanitary and are precautious about COVID-19. Other times I used hate dentist visits and even more now that I have braces. Often times I was left with pain and discomfort. However, with the hygienist at Vertias Dentistry I had painless cleaning and left with no discomfort. Overall, great experience!
