Dentistry includes everything that I love about life: taking care of others, cutting edge medicine, creativity and hands-on treatment, and meeting fascinating people. I thrive to be the best and most approachable dentist I can be. I believe that the treatment planning session is a two-way street. I love to educate and include my patients in the decision making process.

With children, I believe in the long-term, lifetime positive associations with dentistry. I believe that children deserve the respect of being told what to expect in a creative and playful manner. I have seen some children grow from scared and confused three-year-olds to confident older children who had to have extensive dental care, but no longer feel threatened. We listen and learn from each other every day. With patience, positive reinforcement and a little imaginative distraction, the sky is the limit!

I grew up in Valley Village, and currently live 15 minutes away from our office, in Burbank. My husband is Dr. James Grosleib, and we were high school sweethearts. We havetwo beautifullittle girls (Eliana and Isabel). Both share a special place in myheart. When Im not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, leisure walks on the beach, reading, snorkeling and fine dining.

I strive to be a part of the community, and do so by offering underserved individuals the ability to obtain dental care. I also participated in Give Kids a Smile, where children receive free dental screening. I have received an award for the most-attended student at the community dental clinic at UCSF, where I served homeless patients. I spent months at a community dental clinic in Eureka and worked with top surgeons at the San Francisco General Hospital Oral Surgery department where I provided care to the underserved.

I found Valley Village Dental through the good online reviews and they were so awesome I had to add one. They've helped two people in our household. One was an emergency infection and the other was bringing a neglected mouth up to speed. They made us comfortable, are honest and the experience was as pleasant as such a thing could be. They seem to genuinely care about saving a tooth if they can. We feel lucky we found them.

I had a very difficult time communicating with the doctor's and staff. I was referred by my dental specialist for dental work that was out of the scope of my dental specialist's care. Valley Dental ignored the reason for my referral and concocted a list of dental procedures based on my insurance coverage, rather than my dental needs. The staff, including the dentists, were caught off-guard when I questioned them about their dental recommendations. I got a second opinion that confirmed my doubts about the integrity of their practice. If you have good insurance, beware of the treatment that they plan for you. Ask questions, and, if necessary, get a second opinion.

IMPRESSIVE! I highly recommend Valley Village Dental because of Michelle (Dentist) and the staff! I was not treated like the next patient but rather a welcomed guest. After being greeted and seated, I was introduced to Michelle and I must say, its always a pleasure meeting genuinely nice people like her. Once we were acquainted she began to review the X-rays and she walked me through each tooth and gave me "clear" detailed explanations as to what was wrong and made sure that I knew exactly what approaches she planned on taking to fix my dental issues. I have never been to a dental office that was so informative and especially one that was so friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! I found my family's dental office!

Amazing overall experience. Excellent dental work, super helpful and pleasant staff. Dr. James Grosleib is stretched thin but working wonders while his wife (the other Dentist) is unable to work during the Covid situation.

This is the best dental office I've ever been to. I first met Dr. James Grosleib back in 2012 when I came in for a shattered tooth, and even though they were booked solid they were able to see me the next day for an emergency appointment. As it turned out I needed a root canal and it was the first major dental work I'd ever had done. Dr. Grosleib has an amazing way of keeping you calm and comfortable so the process isn't overwhelming and he also explains everything as it's happening so you know what's going on. I wish I could say I kept coming back, took care of my teeth and the rest is history... but that's not what happened. I didn't go to the dentist again for about 5 years and by the time I did my mouth was full of cavities, my gums were receding and I was in need of multiple crowns. My teeth were in such bad shape that I was too embarrassed to go back to any dentists that I'd seen before, so instead of going back to Dr. Grosleib I just picked a random dentist from the "in-network" list my insurance company gave me. The dentist was never able to get me fully numb which made the fillings and crown prep very painful. The temporary crowns were poorly crafted and placed, which left me in excruciating pain for 2 weeks while I waited on the permanent crowns to arrive. When the permanent crowns were placed, I once again wasn't fully numb, and like the last time, it was very painful. Also, the crowns were a completely different color than the rest of my teeth and it's obvious when I smile that they're fake. I recently developed a massive infection and abscess on one of my front teeth and was in a lot of pain from the pressure... for obvious reasons I did not want to go back to the last dentist I'd used. That's when I remembered about Dr. Grosleib and what an incredible experience I'd had with him years ago, so I called and told them I had an abscess and they were able to get me in the next day. The moment I sat down in his chair I was relieved to be in the hands of a good dentist and my experience with him was like night and day compared to my last dentist. Dr. Grosleib determined that the tooth was already dead from infection and had been that way for quite some time. He performed a fast and painless root canal, which immediately relieved the pain and pressure. I didn't understand how my last dentist could have done all those fillings and crowns, which weren't urgent, and not noticed that I had a massive infection and a tooth that was already dead. I suppose you don't truly know the value of a good dentist until you have an experience with a bad one. Dr. Grosleib will be the only dentist I use from now on and I wish I could just go back in time and never have used another dentist after I first came here. I've learned the value of a good dentist the hard way and encourage you to not make the same mistake. This is an A+ dental office and is the only one I'll be recommending to friends and family.

From the front desk to the dental chair Valley Village Dental is truly the standard for patient care, and will change the way you feel about going to the dentist if you have anxiety or fear. I had avoided the dentist for a long time out of anxiety, but the dentistry performed here has helped me get over my anxiety already and I've only been a few times. I see Dr. Michelle Grosleib and the dental care I've received has been wonderful. She does beautiful dental work, explains each step to you as she goes and makes sure you're comfortable and will even stop the procedure if you need a break. The entire staff here is worthy of praise, as each and every one of them demonstrates kindness and professionalism. I always leave here with a happy mouth. Thank you Valley Village Dental!

I love Dr. Michelle Grosleib! She has taken care of me and my teeth for over five years now. I came in there for the first time feeling scared, seeing as though I had not been to a dentist in over two years. I had quite a few different dental issues going on an Dr. Michelle addressed them all calmly, compassionately and conservatively-always taking the least invasive and most economical approach possible. She is incredibly thorough, and though her schedule is always jam-packed due to her popularity, she never makes you feel rushed and always takes her time to make each patient feel special, cared for and seen. In addition to being excellent at her job, Dr. Michelle is an incredible human being, who you can feel good about supporting. There was a lengthy stretch of time in my life where I was going through a tough transition in life, getting out of a toxic environment, and it was adversely affecting my health- both physical and emotional. Though it goes far out of the range of what an average dentist would treat, Dr. Grosleib always goes above and beyond, and did so much to help me get through that tough situation...from suggesting Doctors I could seek to help me through my physical issues, to offering support and compassion while I was emotionally distraught. I will never forget the kindness and warmth I received from her and her staff while I was in one of the darkest periods of my life. I can't finish this review without stating that her front desk staff is outstanding! They ALWAYS go above and beyond. Whether it's squeezing you into an already packed schedule for an emergency appointment or figuring out an insurance issue, I have NEVER in my entire life met a front desk crew that is more capable, accommodating, intelligent and welcoming than these incredible women. They are the glue that holds the place together and I hope they know how special and important they are. In conclusion, I cannot recommend Valley Village Dental and Dr. Michelle Grosleib highly enough. Make an appointment today for happy teeth!
