Dr. Anderson joined us in the Fall after completing his Family Practice Residency at Adena Health. Prior to this, Alex graduated from Ohio University with a B.S. in Biology, and a Doctorate degree from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.

I was born and raised in southern Ohio. I currently live on my familys farm in Ross County, with my wife, two children, and our dog, Buster. I think its really cool that my kids are the fifth generation to live on our farm. I also completed my Family Medicine Residency Training in Chillicothe, OH, so for three years prior to joining VVHC, I have been practicing in the area.

I came to Valley View Health Centers because the location is very important to me. Being from southern Ohio, I am passionate about helping take care of my neighbors and friends and Valley View offers a great opportunity to provide total care for patients both wellness and chronic care.

When it comes to what I like most about my practice is that I enjoy the variety that Family Medicine offers, from prevention, to acute care, to on-going chronic conditions. I am passionate about caring for the whole patient, not only the body, but the mind and spirit as well. My favorite aspect of healthcare is getting to know people and developing great relationships. I believe that great relationships foster real life change and healing.

Im working at our Waverly Location and in addition to office visits, I can provide Osteopathic Manipulation Treatment (OMT) and some office procedures. Ill also offer telehealth and I am accepting new patients.

When Im not at the office, I enjoy playing acoustic guitar, hiking, camping, spending time with my family, and working on the farm with my dad and brothers. I am actively involved in my church. I played many sports growing up and Im a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Ohio Bobcats, and the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals.

I will never go to Valley View again. I had an appointment I scheduled 3 months ago and they told me today that they have to cancel and can't get me in until October. Unacceptable.

They pulled my mom's theeth. And when they did she had a sharp pain going to her brain which cause her to have a seizures the next day. And they later on she had a wreck on U.S 23. Because of them

They changed how they do schedules. You have to call first thing on Monday morning to schedule that week. Not only that, but I found the dentist to be rude and very disrespectful, especially when I witnessed him mocking a deaf patient all because that patient's interpreter didn't show up at the appointment.

The dentist, Dr. Loudermilk, is unprofessional. If you have an allergic reaction to sutures, he will flat out tell you that he doesn't believe you and that it isn't possible. The last extraction I had from him was horrible. I now have a click/pop in my jaw every time I eat. That was never there until he pryed on the tooth and pushed down on my lower jaw so hard that it felt like it was dislocated. I would tell him that I wanted the teeth that had cavities and were broken to be removed and he would just pull one here and there after saying, "Well, I want to try to save that one." More money into his pocket, what did he care about getting my teeth fixed. I still, after several extractions and a cleaning, have teeth that need removed or filled as well as needing upper and lower partials. A lifetime of having dental problems since childhood and years of smoking and drinking coffee has left me with almost no molars. I still need dental work, but I'll find another dentist or deal with it before I go back to him. Even the front desk is a joke. Stand there for ten minutes while the girl talks to some guy in scrubs and when she finally does her job she'll say you are late and try to reschedule you for months away. The last time I was there, she finally got to me and I could smell her body odor through the open window. If the unprofessionalism of the desk help and the dentist is seen as okay and up to par, I truly feel sorry for anyone seeing any other doctor there. That place is appalling. It's bad enough that the dental clinic is only open for four days a week. They say walk-ins, or emergencies welcome but they'll just schedule you for a later date and tell you that if it's truly an emergency to go to the ER. No ER is set up as a dentist's office. Not to mention that if you go to an ER like they made me do, twice, the ER will treat you like a drug seeker. If your face and throat are so swollen that they believe you, they still can't or won't do much of anything but tell you to go back to the dentist's office and get scheduled for an appointment with him. What a joke...

Great experience! All the staff was very friendly to my MIL and myself both in person and on the phone. Dr. Calvin Evans was beyond helpful and made the experience very easy and relaxed. (normally I don't like going to the Doctor) I was in and out fairly quickly. I would highly recommend Valley View to anyone! Overall experience was great.
