After many years of working out of the San Luis Valley, Im so happy to return to my hometown of Alamosa. I have always wanted to provide high quality and compassionate care here in the valley. I would like to take a few minutes to introduce myself. I grew up in Manassa but as a youth my family moved to Alamosa where I attended Sangre de Cristo High School. I then continued my education where I received a BS in Biology from Adams State. After completing my degree I lived in Barcelona Spain for 2 years as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Upon returning from Spain I was accepted and later graduated from University of Colorado- School of Dental Medicine with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery with an emphasis in rural healthcare.
I have been a practicing dentist since 2012. I worked at a Pueblo Community Health Center in Pueblo Colorado for a short time and then moved to the western slope where I worked for Smiles 4 kids dentistry. I left Smiles 4 kids in order to move closer to home and become a partner at Family and Kids dental in Pueblo, CO. In 2017 the opportunity to purchase a building on main street and open Valley Smiles presented itself, and with the support of family and friends we have made this long time dream a reality. Here at Valley Smiles we look forward to serving the Valley community.

Good dentist - reasonable prices. I despise getting any work done on my teeth - these guys made it slightly less awful than usual - and I appreciate that.

After many years of waiting (too long) to get some problem teeth fixed Dr. Horton got me in and helped me sort out my issues. Not only was he and his staff very helpful, but they were also very knowledgeable, efficient and explained things thoroughly. They have continued to give excellent care over the last few years that I have been going there. 5/5 would recommend.

Dr. Horton is the absolute best! I have been his patient for alittle over 4 years, and when he was at the Pueblo office. My teeth are in pretty bad shape, so I hate going to the dentist! Dr. Horton is the first dentist that has made me feel comfortable and safe, and like I was in good hands. I have moved to Denver recently, and yes, I drive over 4 hrs for an appt. with Dr. Horton. It is absolutely worth it! Go and see for yourself, I promise you won't regret it!

I was happy with my appointment today. My Second time there for two Teeth extractions . The atmosphere was amazing, the staff was very friendly and polite. The doctor was amazing, caring and understanding. I left there happy

This clown will screw you up then argue with you about it. He and the assistant were so busy chatting that they flung pieces of tooth into the roof of my mouth, causing me to seek help from the Emergency Room to have splinters of tooth removed. Dr. Horton prescribed mouthwash as a remedy for the pieces of shattered tooth lodged in my mouth, then argued that it was "normal" when no dentist on Earth will agree. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

We love Dr. Horton and all of his staff! They are always so caring and sincere! He is wonderful with kids, he makes them feel comfortable and safe. Best dentist we have been to. Highly recommend him!

Dr Horton chipped a crown I was having him put back on. Told me the chip was glue. Later it chipped more. I told the office manager the next day and she argued that it hadn't happened. Finally they told me that they would pay for it to be redone, then they pulled that offer after I scheduled a crown replacement with another office. I would stay away from this dentist, he is not a nice person.

I do NOT like dentists, however, I had a great experience here. They listened to my concerns and fears and were patient, caring, and gentle. If all dentists were like this one, no one would be afraid to go!

When no other dentist could see me for an emergent route canal... Rocky got me in the next day! Staff was professional, friendly and caring! Top notch service and beautiful interior! I watched a movie on overhead TV as the dentist worked. Great experience :)
