Having lived in Southern Nevada for over 20 years, and being involved in dentistry for over 10 years, I understand the dental needs of this community. As your dentist, my top priorityis that you are comfortable and informed of your conditions, and the impact your oral health has one your overall health. I want to make sure that youare involved in the decisions concerning youroral health and together, we can formulate the appropriate treatment tailored to you. When I am not practicing dentistry, I enjoy pending time with my family, gardening, and reading books.
A native of Nevada, Dr. Buchanan graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a B.S. in Biology and took a gap year between undergraduate studies and dental school to work as an Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator for his alma mater. He enrolled at the UNLV School of Dental Medicine to complete his DMD degree, receiving awards for academic achievement, research initiatives, professional leadership, and community involvement. Throughout dental school, Dr. Buchanan was heavily involved with student council, community outreach, and the mentorship of fellow students. Dr. Buchanan is proud to have served as a trustee for the American Student Dental Association the largest dental student organization in the country.
Dr. Buchanan provides a host of services including crowns, bridges, extractions, root canals, dentures and cosmetic procedures. He is dedicated to keeping current with the latest developments in dentistry and takes pride in continuing his education. He is an active member of Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, and Nevada Dental Association.
While not practicing dentistry, Dr. Buchanan lives a healthy and active lifestyle and enjoys working out. His hobbies include traveling, reviewing films and television shows, and playing trivia with friends.
