Dr. Scott Dunaway, earned his bachelors and doctoral degrees at West Virginia University. Upon graduating from dental school in1997, Dr. Dunaway remained at WVU Hospital for an additional year to broaden his knowledge and expertise by completing a general practice residency.
Following his residency, Dr. Dunaway worked as an associate at a large practice in Maryland before accepting a position as the pioneer dentist in a new branch of the E.A. Hawse Health Clinic in Mathias, WV. Dr. Dunaway practiced in this area for two years before opening his private practice in the greater Harrisonburg-Rockingham community. Dr. Dunaway has attended many continuing education courses including The Dawson Academy and anine-month long implant course the Medical College of Georgia.
Dr. Johnson was raised in Newport News, VA. He then went to James Madison University and graduated with a degree in Chemistry in 1983. At that time, he was accepted to the Medical College of Virginia for Dental School. In 4 years, he earned his Doctor in Dental Surgery in 1987.
After 6 years of living in Richmond with school and in practice, Greg really wanted to return to the Harrisonburg area that he fell in love with while attending JMU. In 1988, he started a private practice called SmileMakers and worked there for over 30 years. After doing many short-term dental mission trips, he and his wife, Stacey, decided to move down to Patagonia, Chile and focus full-time on the language, culture and mission work.
Now, Dr. Greg returns to life and dentistry in the US. With his many years of continuing education, he is proficient in all aspects of dentistry including orthodontic, TMD, implants, root canals and many other surgeries. In his spare time Greg enjoys tennis, cycling, photography, traveling and of course helping others less fortunate.
In 1990, Alla moved to the beautiful Shenandoah Valley from Ukraine, and is fluent in Ukrainian and Russian. Alla has been in the dental field since 2003, starting out as a dental assistant, prior to graduating from Virginia Western Community College, in 2008, where she earned her AAS degree in dental hygiene. She married her husband, Andriy, in 2007, and they have two wonderful children, Matthew and Zachary. Alla loves spending time with her family, leisure bike riding, reading, music and teaching Sunday school. Alla truly cares for her patients and her friendly smile brightens the office each day.
