I had incredible pain over the weekend. And found out I needed a root canal. Valley river Endo staff went above and beyond to get me in. They ended up getting me in so much faster than I had expected. Ive had a history of not being able to do dental work unless I am completely sedated. However after being informed of the procedure and the confidence in their work I have heard of through others I went in this morning. I was able to get a small dose of a medicine to help my nerves and the procedure Dr Steed did was incredible! it's been 10 or more years since I've had any dental work without complete sedation. And when I was done today I couldn't even believe I had those fears. I mean totally gone. I know it was because they truly cared to talk me through what they were doing, why I was afraid and they really heard me. I can't thank them enough for walking me through all of this so well. I actually am looking forward to my next appointments there. I've been so afraid before I have held off on a lot of dental work I needed done because I was terrified. So to say I'm grateful wouldn't even compare to the relief I feel having them do my work and the joy I have knowing there is a place I can go without feeling afraid or anxious. Thank you to their whole staff and Dr Ruckman for taking the time to explain in such great detail everything that would happen and my options. And Dr Steed for being so gentle and patient with me during the procedure and of course, doing a fantastic job! Thank you All!

Sarah and Dr. Dryden were both so incredibly kind and attentive. I felt like they addressed my concerns and made sure that I was comfortable at all points of my exam. The front office staff were also very kind. I will highly recommend Valley river to anyone that asks. Thank you all so much!

Misquoted my wife before she came in for work, then demanded she pay the additional amount. Terrible customer service. Unwilling to work with us on payments. Disorganized on the phone after the fact, and made it clear they 100% don't care about anything other than getting their money. Greed and poor patient care at its finest. Avoid at all costs.

I arrived from a foreign country with an excruciating tooth pain. Dr. Ruckman saw me next day and performed a root canal. Never been happier in my life! "Can a root canal bring happiness?" Yes. Outstanding doctor, staff and facility.

I had to have an apicoectomy here last week and the procedure was explained to me pretty lightly. It was definitely downplayed. I even had a discussion with 2 different people that there was a chance I'd feel ok enough to race my sprint car 3 days later. Not a chance. The amount of soreness and swelling was way more than I anticipated. This morning I had my sutures removed and had the worst patient care experience of my life. I had explained how I felt about it to the assistant and I was totally disregarded. The conversation ended up sending me into to tears (I rarely cry) and when the Dr came in to remove the stitches, he didn't ask why I was crying or what was going on. Just got on with his job while I sat there crying. Unbelievably disrespectful and complete lack of compassion! I would NEVER recommend this office!

I live in Bend and needed a root canal (worst pain I've ever experienced) the offices in Bend are so slammed I was scheduled a month out! I called Valley River Endodontics and they were able to get me in the next week. Heather at the front desk was so kind, empathetic and understanding. The dentist was kind and explained everything they did before they did it. The entire staff was on top of it and really cared about my situation and getting me feeling better. Well worth the gas to drive over the mountain. I would recommend them 100%.

I do not usually leave reviews (good or bad), but these guys were able to get me in for a root canal in less than 24 hours. Everyone who helped me was great. It ended up being a completely painless procedure.

Had a great experience with Dr. Dryden and his hygienist (can't remember her name at the moment, so sorry!!). They made an incredible team. My root canal procedure was smooth and painless (best root canal experience I have had). These two knew exactly what they were doing. They were in sync like I could not believe. They were both professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. The atmosphere of the office was welcoming and clean. I felt very safe coming here during a pandemic. Thank you!

I can't express how thankful I am to the team at Valley River. They completely restored my confidence in my smile! I had a damaged front tooth that turned grey. I had expected that I would need an expensive implant in order to fix it. However, they suggested internal bleaching which completely returned my tooth to its natural color, and at a significantly lower price! I can't stop smiling at myself in the mirror, haha. Thank you so much!!

WOW!! I have had a very rough past with dentists that left me with a huge fear of fillings and getting numbed. Dr Ruckman and Teresa were AMAZING!!! I have bad anxiety, especially about the dentist, and they made it so comfortable for me. They made sure to ask me how i was doing/feeling every step of the way. They explained everything to me as they were happening and always made sure I was okay! They made my root canal literally painless. I have never experienced such friendliness, kindness, empathy and genuine care for patients like I've seen here. I will definitely be referring everyone I know to Dr Ruckman. The best dental experience I've ever had! Thank you Valley River Endodontics!!!

WOW! Finally a doctor who cares! I can not use epinephrine in my anesthetic due to anxiety concerns. I have to use an anesthetic without epinephrine that does not last very long. Of course you want to be numb for the entire root canal! Dr. Dryden assured me that he had a technique he would use to minimize the surge of adrenaline so I would not suffer the adrenaline rush that causes me extreme anxiety. He has such a calming and caring character that you want to trust him.. and I did! It was the best experience I ever had. Not only at the endodontist but also any dentists. He has a wonderful staff as well that make you feel welcome and well cared for. I would highly recommend Dr. Dryden and his office to everyone!

As a general dentist practicing in town 22 years, I just had to give a huge public thank you for always taking such great, immediate care of our patients, some who come to you in times of urgent need. You and your staff do an amazing job of treating people with kindness and professionalism.
