Your childs first visit to our office is designed to be a positive, anxiety-free experience. We have a No Restraint policy. If your child needs comforting, parents or our team may hold his or her hand while in the chair. Parents are welcome to accompany their child into the treatment areas. We encourage you to ask questions or express any concerns during your childs visit.

Our Winchester dental office provides specialized dentistry for infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special health care needs in a fun, caring, and friendly environment. All of our Winchester pediatric dentists are board-certified (or eligible), having completed two years of additional training after dental school to prepare them for the unique dental needs of the children we serve. Our primary focus is prevention and comfort. We are committed to developing positive relationships with your children to help establish dental habits for a happy and healthy smile to last a lifetime.
Dr. Gaurav Agarwal, pediatric dentist in Winchester, opened Valley Pediatric Dentistry in November 2008, with the vision of providing children with the highest quality of specialized dental care. He loves getting to know his patients and their families, and watching them as they grow over the years. He considers it a privilege to be a part of this community and looks forward to seeing familiar smiles around town.
Dr. Agarwal has been a resident of Virginia since 1984 and has completed all his education in this beautiful state. He attended James Madison University for his undergraduate degree. Dr. Agarwal then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2005 from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry.
Following dental school, Dr. Agarwal pursued his dream of providing oral health care to children by completing a two year residency in Pediatric Dentistry also at Virginia Commonwealth University where he also earned a Masters of Science in Dentistry degree. Dr. Agarwal completed the two part process of becoming a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist by passing the National Board Dental Exam in 2007 and is now a Diplomate American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Agarwal is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, as well as the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Agarwal has also volunteered for the past several years with Give Kids a Smile Day and Mission of Mercy Projects.
Everyone from check in to check out is amazing! Friendly and attentive. I love that each person addresses my daughter and involves her in the process. Shes five, but that is still so very important! Kaitlyn C.

Tried to call over 10 times to address bracket issues and wiring issues for braces and no response on ANY of the phone options. Trying to get in contact is nearly impossible yet beginning of the phone call states they're open.

They are so awesome with kids I recommend it if anyone has kids you got to take your kids to them if they would take an adult I will go myself my daughter was not scared at all of them she loves them she's ready to go back to the dentist again

This place is amazing with my son. The assistants and doctors always talk directly to him and make him feel special. It's important to me for him to feel comfortable through almost always a scary experience. It doesn't have to be, and they make it as easy and un-scary as possible.

I'm so glad I found this dentist office, they are incredibe and really know what they're doing. I have two special needs boys and they did absolutely amazing with them both. They are not ones to sit still and understand much, but the dental assistants and dentist didn't have any issues and was very patient with them!!! The dentist office was very professional, nice, and clean! The dentists, dental assistants, and front desk workers were all amazing and very helpful as well. I absolutely recommend Valley Pediatric Dentistry. UPDATE------> My oldest that is autistic and had to have sedation done and some work on his teeth. The surgi-center and Dr. Pope was AMAZING!!!!! As soon as he walked in I was immediately relieved and knew it would go great!! He did such an awesome job talking to my son and explaining everything to us both. Came out and told me everything after, and his teeth look amazing!!!! They only hurt maybe a few hours after. I cannot recommend Dr. Pope enough, he is our favorite and does such an incredible job!! If you're looking for a really great dentist for your child, especially with special needs, he is the one to go to!

My family and I have had great experiences here. The dentists and the rest of their team are very friendly, well mannered, very talented and educated at what they do. The two game rooms are an absolute plus, it definitely helps when in the waiting room. Clean offices and bathrooms. I'd recommend anyone to have their kids go here.

Dentists here are good. As a working mom who usually gets to appointments on time (and then waits 10-20 minutes to see the dentist), I need a dentist who has some flexibility. We were 10 minutes late once to an early morning appointment and after calling to give them a heads up and driving 40 minutes to get there, they told us we were late and cancelled my son's appointment. We will be transferring my son to our family dentist - Cedar Creek Dental - as we are quite satisfied with their service and seem to work in a little flex time to make up for "life happening".

My son was referred here to have 2 teeth extractions. Dr. Pope was amazing and encouraged my son the entire time. All of the staff were very nice and made sure we understood what was happening. Seems like a great Pediatric dental office!

Highly recommend valley pediatric dentistry. My daughter needed a lot of work done to her teeth as soon as it could be done, every other dentist in the area said there was no time for it until at least October (5 months from the first visit) to take care of it but valley pediatric dentistry got her in for an exam on a Tuesday and had the procedure done by Friday of the same exact week. Not only that but the dentist who did her procedure answered all of my calls for any concerns I had and answered all of my questions very timely and professionally. Absolutely no complaints from me

Our first visit to Valley Pediatric Dentistry was very good! The staff, the hygienist and the doctor were excellent. They made my kids feel very comfortable and everyone was happy with the experience. I am also very pleased with how nice the office is and the play area for kids is great.

My daughters first dental appointment, and the staff was awesome! Super friendly, great explaining what they were doing every step of the way (especially to a toddler) we definitely cannot wait for the next appointment!
