Dr. Heather Parsons is originally from the Northern Nevada area. She grew up in Virginia City, and completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at the University of Nevada, Reno. After that, she traveled to the East Coast to attend Dental School at Boston Univeristy Henry M Goldman School of Dental Medicince, followed by anadditional 2 years training in Specialty Pediatric Dentistry atStony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, New York. Although the East Coast was a great experience, she was very excited to have the opportunity to move back home after completion of residency in 2013.
Moving back home meant having all her favorite activities back in her backyard: skiing, hiking, and boating with her husband & daughter in Lake Tahoe, as well astrail running with her dogs. She was very honored and humbled to take over Valley Pediatric Dentistry in the fall of 2016, after spending a little more than a year in the office. She is very proud to be in such a strong and vibrant family-centeredcommunity. She abolutely loves getting to know each of her patients and their families personally. Her favorite part about what she does is seeing the growth and resiliency of children, as well asfosteringa positive mindset about oral health and visiting the dentistm from a young age.
She stays committed to continual learning by regularly attending courses to provide her patients with latest techniques and technology, and has strengthened that commitment by completing her board-certification process through the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She stays involved in the community through volunteering at the Annual Give Kids a Smile Clinic, giving time to the Northern Nevada Cleft Palate Clinic, and supporting athletic and academic programs in the Carson Valley.
Dr. Emily Whipple grew up in Boulder City, a small town in Southern Nevada. She decided she wanted to be a dentist in junior high after having braces and loving going to the Orthodontist. After completing her undergraduate education at the University of Nevada, Reno she went back down south and completed dental school at UNLV School of Dental Medicine in 2008. She enjoyed Northern Nevada so much that she returned to practice as a General Dentist. During this time, she realized her love of working with children, and in 2013she returned to UNLV to complete a residency in Pediatric Dentistry. She returned to Northern Nevada in 2015 and completed the final step of American Board of Pediatric Dentistry Board Certification in 2016.

The health of the oral cavity is strongly linked to overall health, so those with healthy mouths tend to be healthier overall. With children, we know that developing positive feelings about caring for their oral health, and ensuring atraumatic dental experiences, sets them up for a lifetime of preventing tooth problems and a willingness to seek dental care as adults!
Our doctors have specialty training in pediatrics and treat only children. It is truly their passion, and that of the staff, to give quality and friendly dental care for all patients, staring in infancy and through adulthood.

Dr. Parsons and her staff have always been friendly, courteous and patient. I have two little ones I couldn't imagine taking elsewhere. On our last visit our oldest was so excited to see his name on their board and to receive happy birthday wishes. They truly take the time to create a safe space for children and to make your littles ones feel important. Thank you!!!

I trust Dr. Parsons and her whole office with the well-being of my child. Dr. Parsons and her staff treat children with respect. They explain procedures in easy to understand terms, and are honest about what is happening. I feel this sets my child up for a lifetime of not being scared of dentists and dental care.

Valley Pediatric Dentistry was amazing with my 2 year old. They answered all questions and we're very patient. Staff was also very helpful with looking into our insurance.

I have 3 kids that have only gone to Valley Pediatric dentistry. They are wonderful to my kids and they have a great experience every time. Anytime my child needs to be seen they find a way to get him in the same day. The whole staff is wonderful!!

Best Medical/Dental Experience we have ever had with our daughter. Staff is patient, kind, caring and positive in every aspect. They allowed my daughter who has Autism Spectrum Disorder to take a couple breaks in between her initial visit and flouride treatment. They have a movie playing in the screens above the patients as well as some days a therapy dog to ease children's worries. We live three hours south of the facility and I will gladly travel the distance from our rural town.

We had a great visit here. The staff put my daughter at ease, and gave us honest, informative information. They clearly care about the experience the kids receive, especially given going to the dentist can be scary. Well worth the drive from South Lake.

Everybody here was very nice and patient with my little one. I have a 3 year old with autism and he had a very unpleasant first appointment, somewhere else, when he was a little over a year old. Ever since then he won't even let me put a spoon in his mouth. Here, his first visit was pretty much just a get to know you visit because he wouldn't let us do much, but I feel it's the beginning of a great dentist/ Daniel relationship
