Dr. Daniel H. Chen was originally born in Vancouver, British Columbia and obtained his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Chen then completed a two-year residency in orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was class president and is the current president of the UPENN Orthodontic Alumni Society. Dr. Chen has practiced orthodontics since 2003 and has taught orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania Department of Orthodontics for multiple years. Dr. Chen is trained in providing exceptional care with clear and metal braces, and invisible braces with Invisalign.
Dr. Chen was one of the youngest doctors to be board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association and the Pennsylvania Dental Association.
Dr. Chen has received multiple honors, graduating as the Clinician of the Year for his graduating class at the University of Pennsylvania. He has received the Louis Wolf Award for graduating in the top 3 of his class, the Hersch Pharmacology Award, and the Hinman Research Scholar Award. He has been inducted into the Mathew Cryer and Omicron Delta Epsilon Honor Societies. He has received multiple research awards and published multiple articles on bone and cancer research.

I would highly recommend Dr. Chen and his staff. They are very patient and they took the time to answer all my questions. The best part is doctor and the girls at the front desk made my daughter feel comfortable which is wonderful. Plus the prices here are affordable. This office deserves 10 stars!

Dr . Chen is amazing.. best Ortho prices around . Knowledgeable and very friendly. Office is always very clean and girls at front desk are very helpful and accommodating. Dr Chen is really the best orthodontist. Doesn't rush you and will always help you with any questions or concerns you have for him . My smile turned our amazing and I couldn't thank him enough and the entire office team ! If you need a new smile don't hesitate to contact this office !!!

After visiting 2 other orthodontists offices, I decided to go with Valley Ortho. Price was better than the other two offices that I got quoted at & Dr. Chen is so knowledgeable and friendly. So happy with my new smile, which I can now do with confidence. Absolutely love Dr. Chen and his staff.

I was at this office today with my son Jacob. All of the people in the office are kind, welcoming and treated me and my son like we were family. The office is beautiful and state of the art to say the least. Dr. Chen is amazing. He explained everything in detail and made sure we understood treatment. He was patient, gentle and extremely caring. I highly recommend!

Dr. Chen and the entire staff at Valley Ortho are absolutely wonderful! I honestly can't speak highly enough of the entire practice. We had problems with other orthos and Dr. Chen fixed the issues and thoroughly explained everything without making you feel rushed or confused. I have recommended everyone I know. Schedule an appointment with Dr. Chen and you will not be disappointed

I live in Arizona, and my son lost one of his clear retainers. I thought he would need to go without one until he returned back to AZ. I was wrong. Dr. Chen agreed to see him right away and got him a new retainer in the same day. His staff specifically Cheryl were so helpful and friendly. I could not be happier with the care and level of terrific service that my son received. If I lived in the area, my son would definitely be seeing Dr. Chen for all of his orthodontic needs. Great job to all at Valley as you definitely exceeded all of my expectations.

I am a very picky person. Found this place to be WONDERFUL!! The Dr. is so friendly. The staff just makes you laugh and smile while waiting. Very clean office can't find a speck of dirt.

A couple of other parents from my daughter's school recommended Dr. Chen for braces. Since the office is right across the street from the lower Moreland school's driveway, it is very convenient. The office is really nice inside and super clean. The free coffee is a nice perk too. He is pretty good with her considering she gives her regular dentist a really hard time. I will be bringing my son there too when he gets old enough.
