Dr Michael Tai received his doctor of dental surgery (DDS) degree from Columbia University in New York City in May of 2001. He further trained as a general practice resident (GPR) at the Veterans Affair Northern California in Sacramento where he refined his skills in complex extractions, implant placements, diffcult molar root canals and dental prosthesis. During his first few years out of residency Dr. Tai he practiced as an associate dentist with the not-for-profit Health Trust Childrens Mobile Dental Unit where he worked with disadvantaged children eventually being promoted to the Dental Clinic Director.
In 2007 Dr. Tai oepend Valley Oak Dental to continue caring for his patients after funding ended for the Mobile Unit. In his own practice Dr. Tai continues work with these children, their families, and now also others around the Gilroy area. Equipped with the latest in technology with digtal xrays, paperless charts and highly advanced dental training, Dr Tai is in a great position to deliver the highest quality care in dentistry..
