Dr. Challagulla was born in India and received his Bachelors of Dental Surgery from Bangalore University before relocating to Boston, MA to advance his knowledge in the field of health services. While in Boston, Dr. Challagulla obtained his Masters in Public Healthat Boston University and pursued his burgeoning interest in the field of endodontics. Determined to help prospective patients better educate themselves about oral health and improve their overall wellness, he gained entry to the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine and its post-graduate endodontic program. During his residency, Dr. Challagulla taught several microsurgery courses to global audiences, and he was also the lead investigator in a published research article entitled Effect of Splint Coverage in Laser Doppler Readings.
A fully-licensed practitioner, Dr. Challagulla is BoardCertifiedby the American Board of Endodontics which is considered the ultimate clinical credential, and only the top 20 percent of all specialists receive this accolade.
An active supporter of the local community, Dr. Challagulla is a member of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), American Dental Association (ADA), American Association of Public Health Dentistry (AAPHD) and the Maryland State Dental Association (MSDA).When not practicing endodontics, Dr. Challagulla enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.

Bright clean office space. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Dr. Challagulla was very knowledgeable, patient and kind. He laid out an easy to understand detailed option plan, which allowed me to make an informed decision about my care. I would definitely recommend his practice to anyone in need of dental care.

Years ago, I was referred to Valley Endodontics. I have never even considered going to another practice, should I need any related care done. Reception is exceptional and the Doctor is both personable and skilled. Truly the Doctor is the definition of adept personified.

I was initially scared to get a root canal at first. However, Dr. C and his assistant were awesome! Dr. C went above and beyond to explain everything to me and to make me feel comfortable. His assistant also helped to calm me down before the procedure. I felt no pain or discomfort during or after. Everyone in the office was polite, they made me feel comfortable, and they were very attentive. The atmosphere is also relaxing and clean. I appreciated the next day follow up from the office to ensure that I was still doing okay.

Staff and doctor could not be more pleasant, helpful, yet professional. They sensed and responded to my anxiety about my first root canal, and did everything possible to help relieve it. The procedure went exactly as they described, and the day after was like nothing ever happened. Highly recommend this medical office!

Hi saw Dr. Barak for my procedure and he was very kind and thoroughly answered any questions or concerns I had . I felt comfortable and I felt no pain. Very pleased with my experience ! My insurance (Cigna) notified me that they won't cover Valley Endodontics moving forward and I am very sad about that . Dr. Barak is the best.

I had a root canal done. The doctor made me feel comfortable, even cracking a few jokes. I don't recall ever laughing at a dental appointment but this doc put me at ease and made me laugh. Ayanna the dental assistant was very warm and friendly and sat with me while I waited for my surgery to begin. A gesture I very much appreciated.

The staff is very helpful and friendly. This is a office that you will enjoy the visit. My dental assistant Gabriella was excellent in comforting the patient while waiting for the doctor to come in. Doctor came in and explained everything to me and gave me the options; was gentle when doing the procedure. Great Doctor, great staff

Staff was amazing, sweet and so helpful. I was scared to get a root canal because of all the horror stories everyone had told me. But the doctor was amazing, his personality made me feel comfortable and I didn't feel a thing and after the numbing wore off there was no pain. 10/10 would recommend
