Dr. Michael Gavin is a proud lifelong resident of Wisconsin. He has spent the majority of his adult life in Onalaska. He is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College and the University of Minnesota Dental School. Upon receiving his dental degree, Dr. Gavin was commissioned for eight years in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps. While on active duty, Dr. Gavin trained at the Naval Dental Center in Orlando, Florida and at the Naval Hospital in Cherry Point, North Carolina. It was during that tour when Dr. Gavin was deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba to provide humanitarian dental care to Haitian immigrants. Dr. Gavin began building the Valley Dental team in 1993 and has been practicing dentistry for over 30 years. Dr. Gavin and his wife of over 30 years have 3 adult children and a precious granddaughter. When not working, Dr. Gavin enjoys traveling, road biking, brewing his own beer, and running his energetic dogs.
Dr. Eric Stull is a native of Milwaukee, WI. He attended the University of Missouri where he earned his degree in Biology. He then went on to attend University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry. Shortly after he returned to Wisconsin where he practiced in La Crosse for close to a decade before joining the Valley Dental team in 2019. Dr. Stulls clinical interest is in dental implants, oral surgery and advanced restorative work. He has previously served as president of the La Crosse District Dental Society and has had leadership positions with the Wisconsin Dental Association. Dr. Stull is married and has two daughters. In his free time he enjoys adventures with his family, mountain biking and playing golf.
Dr. Niles joined the Valley Dental team in 2021 but had been in the dental industry since 1987. He graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1982 then went on to earn a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois in 1986. Dr. Niles has gravitated towards mastering multidisciplinary restorative procedures for patients of all ages. When not at work, Dr. Niles enjoys playing guitar, the French Horn, and going for rides on his Harley. Hes even be able to ride side-by-side with Gordon Christensen!
I graduated Western Technical Colleges Dental Assisting program in 2001 and then returned to WTC and completed the Dental Hygiene program in 2005. I joined the Valley Dental team in 2014. I truly enjoy being apart of the Valley Dental family! When Im not working you can find me spending time with my three children and my husband.
I have been practicing dental hygiene for 25 years and have been here at Valley Dental since 2009. One of my favorite aspects of working here is the ability to provide the highest quality care to my patients and the support to do just that. My co-workers are some of the most knowledgeable, compassionate, caring and fun people I know. While always keeping our focus on our patients and our work we manage to have a lot of fun which makes Valley Dental a great place to work!
I am a 2010 graduate of the dental hygiene program at Western Technical College. I joined the Valley Dental team in 2013. Valley Dental provides excellent, quality care to each and every patient. I am devoted to making patients dental experience positive, comfortable and at ease. My commitment to each patient is foremost. I am very happy to be a part of the dedicated and caring group at Valley Dental.
I graduated from Rosemount Community College as a dental assistant in 2000. I went back to school to be a dental hygienist, graduating from Rochester Technical College in 2004. After 15 years in the dental industry, I can honestly say I love my job! My biggest reward is helping patients get a healthy mouth! In my spare time Im usually chasing after my 4 children, staying involved in all of their activities! You can also find me on the golf course or on the river! I am so proud and excited to be apart of the Valley Dental team. My patients are not just patients; they become like family. I cant wait to meet you and start our dental journey together!
I graduated the dental assisting program in 2004. Then I went back to school to be a dental hygienist, graduating from University of Wyoming in 2009 where I was the President of the Dental Hygiene Association for a number of years. I participated in the public health Colorado MDI program from 2014 - 2019. This program integrates full scope dental hygiene services into medical settings by adding dental hygienists to medical care teams. In my spare time I love to travel! Some of my other hobbies include wood working, drone racing, sailing, and exploring mountains. I cant wait to start our dental adventures together!
I have been working as a dental hygienist for 15 years and have been here at Valley Dental since 2005. Over the years I have had the opportunity to work in many offices and without a doubt being at Valley Dental has been the best one. I love how everyone here is truly dedicated to giving the best care possible to our patients. Our #1 goal is to make the dental experience here a wonderful one!
I graduated from Western Technical College with a Dental Assisting degree in 2009. Afterwards, I went on to earn my Dental Hygiene Degree from Normandale College in 2015. Ive been a part of Valley Dentals team since 2021 and my favorite part of working here is the opportunity to help people improve their oral health. When Im not working, I spend time with my husband and 2 children. We love to bake cookies, go camping, and attend country concerts!

This is by far the BEST dental office in the area. Everyone who works there is just so darn nice. As much as I want to hate going to the Dentist, it's hard to. We moved here about eight years ago and after a mediocre experience at a different office, we've been at Valley Dental ever since. I wish we would have found them on the first try. My daughter just had some fillings done this afternoon - and I can't believe I'm saying this, but even getting cavities taken care of can actually be a somewhat "enjoyable" experience. She told me as we were getting in the car to go home that maybe she'd like to be a Dentist someday.

I cannot give this enough stars! Dr. Niles did more than I was expecting with my smile. I have been so insecure about my teeth since early childhood and he fixed that problem in one visit. I am so beyond happy with my results. Thank you thank you!

It's been awhile since I've had anyone look at my teeth so rightfully so I had quite a bit of anxiety but it was quickly relieved not only did I feel welcome appon arrival but even being In the chair minimal discomfort and over the top friendly staff my hygienist was very much so reassuring there's nothing to be worried about and my teeth were actually in better shape then I thought. Both my children got routine cleanings and they had nothing negative to say they were actually excited when I said were coming back in 6 months Thank You!

Dr. Gavin and team are kind, professional, and efficient. Even though the dentist is my least favorite place to go, they make the experience enjoyable. We switched here about 3 years ago and will never go any place else. We love Valley Dental!

As someone who had a fear of going to the dentist and having anyone look at my teeth, the staff at Valley Dental made everything comfortable for me! From the Dentists, to the Hygienists (especially Kim!) to the administrators, they make you feel welcomed and comforted as soon as you walk in the door!

Staff from the front desk, the hygienist to the dentist are extremely professional and treated me as I was the most important patient they saw today. Very passionate and concerned not only with my dental health but my personal well being as well. I can be honest with my hygienist, Kim, about what I need and that eases any anxieties. Dr Holle is comfortable, relatable, and unassuming. Going to the dentist isn't my favorite thing, but the staff make my visit comfortable.

I just recently had my first implant by Dr Stull. The procedure from start to finish was exceptional ! I have paid for a few boats over the years with this mouth. In all the years and dental work I have had, he made the process stress and pain free. Thank you for a great experience !

I really appreciate the level of care at Valley Dental. I have changed dentist many times over the years hoping to find a place like this. The staff is always friendly and helpful. My 7 year old needed orthodontics and we were apprehensive at first but Dr. Holly and Susan made my daughter feel safe and listened to throughout this whole thing. I was always informed and able to ask questions. Dr. Holly even made calls to see how she was adjusting. If you have a sensitive kid, this is your place. They are so kind, gentle and caring. They really go above and beyond to make the kids feel safe and even have fun together!
