I grew up in beautifully green Sparks, Maryland and have spent my entire life learning and growing in the Baltimore area. Im happy to be practicing dentistry in the community that has given me so much throughout my life.
My natural compassion for people and love for art & science is why I chose to become a dentist. Valley Dental Health exists so that we may promote excellence in dental health and so that we may serve those that are committed to the very best dental care and long-term oral health.
I love developing relationships with my patients and growing with the multiple generations of families we have seen through the years. I am very proud of our dream team at VDH who always work hard to provide the best care to all our patients by focusing on every patients individual needs.
Im proud to have graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School of Dental Surgery, the first dental school in the world that still remains as one of the top dental schools in the country! My passion for learning led me to a competitive two-year residency at the University of Maryland in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program.
During residency, I developed a special interest in preventative dentistry, patient education, and advanced dental treatment including cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, and implant therapy. During an externship on a Native American reservation in South Dakota, I developed a real appreciation for the importance of serving those parts of our global community that have less-than-desirable access to healthcare.
I am proud of the fact that Valley Dental Health dentists and team members have devoted their time to serving those who do not have access to dental care through various charitable organizations, and I look forward to many more opportunities to do so as we continue to grow in our community.
I currently live in downtown Baltimore with my fun-loving husband, our curious twins, and our two dogs. When Im not in the office, I can be found playing with my kids, hiking with my dogs, watching documentaries, running, or pretty much anything involving nature and family life. I am very fond of food, books, movies, music, and travel.
As a proud northern-Baltimore County native, I am so glad that my career has brought me back to the Hunt Valley area. Valley Dental Health is my way of giving back to the community that has given me so much throughout my life.
My passion for general dentistry inspired me to pursue five years of specialty training in order to be able to treat patients with more complex general dentistry needs. I believe patient education is paramount in achieving dental goals and ensuring that the dental therapy I provide continues to function in health for years.
I also believe that professional education is vital in staying updated on developments in the field of dentistry, so I am a member of several local study clubs as well as several national dental organizations. I am also currently on the Deans Faculty at the University of Maryland Advanced General Dentistry residency program, teaching dental students and continuing to stay on top of the latest in dental science and patient treatment.
What I love most about dentistry, beyond being able to help my patients achieve oral health on their way to overall health, is meeting so many people from different walks of life. Every patient has a story to tell, and getting to know my patients and growing with them through the years is incredibly fulfilling on both a professional and personal level.
I cant think of a better team than the one we have at Valley Dental Health everyone is so warm and welcoming, and it allows our patients to feel completely calm and comfortable from their very first visit to VDH!
In my spare time, I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my amazing wife, our two awesome kids and our two mischievous rescue pooches. We love being outside, going to baseball games, and staying active and healthy!
I believe a persons smile always leaves the most significant impression on other people. As a dentist, my hope for my patients is to be able to walk out of the office with the most healthy and confident smile! To achieve that goal I want to treat patients while following my dental philosophy which is to prioritize peoples health and comfort for patient centered care.
I am currently certified in Advanced General Dentistry, from the University of Maryland. My advanced training provided me the additional experience to provide top-notch dentistry in a multitude of areas including, cosmetic, digital, and laser dentistry. In addition, I have also been trained to provide multiple complex procedures such as full mouth rehabilitation.
From an early age I learned the importance of receiving and giving education because I was a son of a high school teacher. During my time with patients, I noticed a significant amount that were actually unaware of how to take care of their teeth properly. Even with something as basic as how to brush correctly. While my goal is to provide the best treatment possible, I also believe in guiding and educating my patients so they are able to maintain good oral health.
I have always been taught that great work comes from those who love what they do. My passion for my work comes from the ability to have a positive impact on others. My patients health and comfortability are my first priority. I am here to listen and answer any questions as we work together to achieve the best care for each individual.
Hi, Im Dr. Laura. My story starts in Brazil. I grew up in a family of health professionals who inspired me to pursue dentistry. I moved to Maryland when I was 16 with a steadfast desire to become a dentist. I attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine for dental school and continued with a residency in Advanced General Dentistry at the University of Maryland. I have the technical knowledge to provide the best treatment, along with the mindfulness to make it personal.
As a dentist nothing makes me happier than seeing you smile and that happens before treatment begins. My approach to dentistry is about creating a comfortable, fun environment. I strive to make you smile and laugh every step of the way even in Spanish and Portuguese.
I listen A lot. And ask a lot of questions. I seek first to understand what truly matters to my patients before developing a treatment plan to give them the smile they truly desire. This includes routine fillings, root canals, extractions, crowns, dentures, and Invisalign to complete smile makeovers.
Outside of the office, I enjoy being active practicing yoga and indoor climbing, trying new local restaurants (suggestions always needed!), and spending time with my two young nieces & adorable cats Zulu and Zoe.

I was very impressed with Valley Dental Health. Although it was my first visit, I am looking forward to them being the place to get my teeth taken care of. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I really liked having a TV on the ceiling to watch during my visit. I would definitely reccomend them for my family and friends!

If you need anything more than a general visit, do not come here. I knew I needed dental work done so I came here based on the glowing reviews. Everything was wonderful until I went to be seen! I was told I had severe gum disease and needed a deep cleaning, I had a cavity in EVERY single tooth, and needed 2-3 extractions. This scared me. I did not come back. I finally got myself to go to another dentist to get a second opinion, and WOW and I glad I did! I do not have any signs of gum disease in the slightest, and my few issues were able to be fixed with fillings. GET A SECOND OPINION, SOME DENTISTS HERE ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH.

Felt like they were trying to upsell me with things I do not need nor did I ever inquire about. Overall nice and friendly customer service just don't try to sell people things it's really sleazy and slimey. If I'm not asking about it, then there's no need to bring it up. This is a dentist's office not a car dealership. On top of that the hygienist told me I have periodontitis and bone loss so I need a deep cleaning with gum scaling/root planing, yet, the doctor came in and looked at my teeth and said there is NO bone loss. Which one is it? Another attempted upsell, I guess? How can I trust your educated opinion when two completely different diagnoses were given within a matter of 5 minutes?

Needed an urgent dental visit and Valley Dental Health was able to squeeze me in right away. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. Sara, Hunter and Dr Laura we're all amazing and knowledgeable. They spoke to me in terms that I understood. Very pleasant experience! 10/10 would recommend! ETA: Also had a follow up appt with Dr Laura and Tia assisted with the procedure, both did an excellent job and really made me feel comfortable

This place doesn't look like too much at first. Not being at a dentist for ten years, I obviously had my doubts subconsciously. I was blown away not only from the atmosphere of this dental office but the staff and dedicated doctors who run it as well. The nicest thing is that they take my insurance and made me smile from cheek to cheek. The dentist who saw me: Dr. Renggli was super nice, made it easy to understand and she asked if I had any questions. She made me feel like a guest in her home and had me out in minutes. All of the staff are super nice and approachable and I would recommend Valley Dental Health to anyone confidently and with an improving smile! This office and the friendly staff make me want to go back!

Word of warning-if you have dental insurance, triple check that this office has not dropped it or changed to out-of-network. Seems they are going to more of a concierge type of service for more out of pocket from patients? I was not informed at the time of my visit that this had changed. I was told I got an email, and if not, I should have checked my spam (who does that??) regarding the insurances they are dropping or changing. ASK before you are seen, or you will get a bill! And if you pay a dental premium for coverage of 100% in-network preventative services already, you may be paying more out-of-pocket in the end (not worth it). My insurance told me that they were in-network at the time of service also. There are other great dentists- find one that verifies they are in-network! It was a huge process to get a response from their administrative staff-ultimately they were kind enough to write off the remaining balance. I want people to know that they need to ASK before being seen if your service will be 100% covered to save yourself the hassle I went through!

The staff are all very friendly and make you feel right at home. I have been coming here for about 5 years now and haven't had any complaints. I also got to meet Dr. Ogadaba (I'm sure I'm spelling her name wrong, my apologies) today and she was fantastic. She took her time to explain the preventive care that was being suggested and also answered all of my questions in great detail. I highly recommend this dentist office!!

Not many places in today's society, have a group of people more knowledgeable in their field, more helpful and everyone possess such a pleasant spirit. The place was extremely clean and organized. Watch out if you are using dental insurance. The estimate procedures from them was very inaccurate including the discounts stated in estimate in paper. My wife and I attempted to contact them regarding the billing issue and it took 3 weeks to respond. The claim process to my wife insurance took them over 3+ months to its completion and resulting in big lump sum payment due to maximum out of pocket has been reach. The claim from them turned out to be out of network despite of the practice are in network. My wife payout estimate miscalculated by 3-4 times higher. The estimate from them misled so much for us to agree upon at the counter. From 3 invoices, it cost my family more than thousand excluding co-pay and co-insurance.

I have enjoyed being a patient with Valley Dental, since 2018. Everyone treats you like family. I started with VDH because it was very convenient to my job. Now that I'm retired and live 25-30 minutes away. I am very happy to drive pass all other Dental Offices to continue with my dental care with VDH. KUDOS to front desk, hygienist and all Doctors. I'm so glad to be part of the family!
