Valley Dental Care in Chaska is home to experienced family and cosmetic dentistry services performed by a knowledgeable and caring dentist who calls Chaska, MN home. Dr. John Dunn and his team of experienced staff make sure to treat every customer like family- providing a wide range of expert dental services.
John is a 1987 graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and is a member of the University of Minnesota Alumni Association. He is a member of the Minnesota Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. John has also had experience as a Clinical Instructor at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. He values community service and has participated with a wide variety of organizations. He is presently involved with the Department of Defense in screening and treating soldiers prior to deployment.

Valley dental is AMAZING! I was having some issues with my teeth and was told multiple things by different dentists that needed to be done. I wanted another opinion. Dr Dunn is honest and always upfront with me. Dr. Dunn and his team are great to work with. HIGHLY suggest you get your dental work done here. Keep up the amazing work!

I had avoided the dentist for routine care for 5 or so years because of the terrible experiences I had at a large dental clinic. Dr. Dunn and his assistant Faith wiped away years of anxiety in one quick visit! Their welcoming nature and excellent care renewed the experience of quality dental care I had lost. A wisdom tooth that has caused me YEARS of discomfort was extracted in office in less than 45 minutes. Would highly recommend to everyone!

The best dentist I've ever been to, by far! My kids and I have always felt important here, everyone's so personable, kind and caring. Dr. Dunn and his employees are extremely knowledgeable and professional. Love this place!

The staff is wonderful and treats us like family every time we go in. Dr Dunn is professional and caring which is why my family and I have been going to this dental office for over 13 years. Even my 8 year old daughter likes going to the dentist. Can't recommend enough!

Dr. Dunn and his team are always so warm and welcoming. It's never fun to have your teeth cleaned, but they keep you smiling and feeling comfortable, even my kids like them! They always have a clean office with easy parking. I would definitely recommend Valley Dental~

This man is horrible! He demeaned his assistant in front of me and then turned right around and did the very same thing that he climbed on her back about. I had to reschedule an appointment because of a death in my family and he actually called me to get it rescheduled I'm the very day I canceled. He was upset that I canceled and I told him why and he said , I know but you have to make this appointment up. My insurance didn't cover a certain x-ray and he said right in front of me, I'm doing it anyway! He has horrible horrible bedside manner. Do not visit this doctor.

I have never experienced a more unprofessional Doctor. John frequently provided inconsistent information and was entirely unapologetic about the pain I experienced as a result of his technique. I was without tooth pain before my first visit. After honoring his advice, I left the office with shooting pain in my tooth after a simple filling. John at first said "it's not possible" and accused me of lying about my pain. When I challenged his answer with information from another Dentist, he changed his story and claimed it's normal to feel such pain. He then stated there's nothing he can do about it, my nerves were to blame. He supported his newly altered claim by bragging about his years of experience. 3 months later, the pain persisted. When I went back to the office to let him know about the issue, he begrudgingly re-attempted my filling. While completing this task he fought back and forth with his assistant, threw his instruments around in frustration, and laughed in disbelief at my pain as if I'm a complaining child. My pain remained and when I returned for a cleaning, he offered unnecessary services and assured me that my insurance would cover all costs. I got a bill 2 months later. When I called the number on the bill, John answered and responded rudely. He said to call the next day, because apparently my concern was not worth his attention. I would never advise a visit with this "Doctor!"
