I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois, and then headed to the University of Michigan for dental school. After dental school, I spent the next two years at Harvard University Childrens Hospital of Boston as a resident specializing in pediatric dentistry.
My husband and I met in dental school and thought that Grand Rapids would be a great place to raise a family and cheer for the University of Michigan. We have three children and a black lab. When I am not shuttling my kids to various activities I enjoy playing golf, running, and reading. Mostly, though, I enjoy spending time with my family.
I received my undergraduate degree at Hope College, where I would eventually meet my wife. I attended dental school at the University of Michigan. After dental school I completed my residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Maryland. After finishing my residency I spent one year completing a fellowship in public health dentistry at the Howard Co. (MD) health department, treating children without health or dental insurance. We knew that we wanted to come back to West Michigan to start a family, and I was very fortunate to meet and begin working for Dr. Aimee.
My wife and I have four beautiful children: 3 girls and a boy. Mostly, I enjoy spending time at home with my family, but I also enjoy playing basketball, golf, running, biking, and reading. On most Saturdays in the fall, you can find me singing Hail to the Victors and cheering for my favorite team, the Michigan Wolverines.
I grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana and received my undergraduate degree in Biology from Indiana University. I was a varsity tennis player at Indiana University and still love playing tennis today. I received my dental degree at the University of Michigan where I discovered my love for the beautiful state of Michigan. After dental school, I spent three years in San Francisco earning my certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and Masters in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences. I am a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.I am also an assistant associate clinical professor in the department of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics at the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry.
My husband and I are so glad tobe livingin West Michigan; we have 3 children who keep us on our toes and a very sweet chocolate lab. I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring the outdoors, playing tennis, watching college basketball (Go Hoosiers!), running, biking, and snow skiing.
Doctors and staff are fantastic. We took our 5 year old son to the Kentwood location to have a potential cavity examined. Dr. Chris was extremely kind and made our child feel very comfortable. I cant say enough nice things about this group of professionals. Thanks for taking great care of our son!

My 2 year old went for his first cleaning today. The staff was wonderful with him -- from front desk to dentist. They took their time with him and followed his lead. He had a wonderful experience and is already excited to go back in 6 months!

Love this dentist and my daughter agrees!! She is always excited about her next appointment! We've been seeing Dr. Valleau for 6 or 7 yrs now and are never disappointed even when emergencies come up they always get us right in and get the best care from whichever doctor is available. Totally recommend 100%

This is our new Dentist for sure! We are new to the area and we called because our son was having tooth pain. They worked us in for an emergency and we couldn't be more pleased with our experience! Friendly Dr and Staff!

LOVE this office! They are so patient with my very active 6yr old! He gets a token coin to exchange for trinkets every time he has to be brave (ie, sitting still for X-rays, tooth cleaning, or cavity filling, etc). He actually looks forward to going to the dentist, which is a huge feat! The entire staff is so kind and gentle! Couldn't ask for a better office!

My kids love going for their cleanings! And I loved how Amy explained each step to my two-year old before she cleaned and flossed her teeth so she wasn't afraid. Everyone is so kind and friendly and my kids love the tokens they're given to pick prizes afterwards. We've been going to see Dr. Massie for seven years now and each of my four children looks forward to their dentist appointment.

They are so amazing here! Very patient with my son who was traumatized after a previous dental experience. ( a different dentist) They were able to keep him calm and trust them. They made it fun and he was actually laughing while in the dentist chair. He loves it there. I am so glad we found them.
