Born in the Philippines, Dr. Vales went to the University of East to finish her pre-dental courses. From there she went to Centro Escolar University and earned the degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine in March 1988. The following year, she and her husband moved to San Diego. After a year or two, Dr. Vales decided to get to work on her dental license in California, so she took her first job as a Dental Assistant. After a few months of work experience, she passed the board exam to become a Registered Dental Assistant in 1993. While working as a Registered Dental Assistant, she undertook the challenge of the Dental Board Examination, which has 4 stages. She passed the first three in the spring of 1995 through self-study. In preparation for the fourth and final part of the California State Dental Board Examination, Dr. Vales drove to Loma Linda University for evening classes while working days in San Diego. In October of 1995, she received her license to practice dentistry. Dr. Vales worked as an Associate Dentist for nine years before opening her private practice in October of 2002, Bonita Art of Aesthetic Dentistry, in Chula Vista, California.
In continuing studies, Dr. Vales earned the Certificate of Excellence in the field of Advanced Functional Aesthetics from the Las Vegas Institute in 2002. Later she received theInvisalign Certificationfrom Align Technology. She is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and San Diego Dental Society. In 2002, she became a member and participates in the San Diego Advanced Study Group to continue learning restorative and cosmetic dentistry with her peers. Dr. Vales enjoys seeing her patients and their families, watching the young ones grow up, and seeing their own children come in to see her. She provides quality care in an enjoyable relaxed environment.

Called to do an appointment to do a dental cleaning and the receptionist was so rude ! I am not going to this place i was considering it because it was so close to my work to bad that the lady was so hangry that day !

Horrible and rude receptionist to begin with. The dentist has no clue what she's doing! I went for a filling without any pain at all, came out with an unfinished root canal and throbbing pain! The tools they use smell like bleach which is an unsanitary way to disinfect medical instruments! My throat also burned like they were rinsing me with bleach! I went to a real dentist immediately the next day to fix the mess this "dentist" did on me! I paid $1,000 to Dr. Vales to ruin my tooth! Had to cash out another $1,000 for a good dentist to fix it

The receptionist who's name is Elisabeth is very rude and acts as she is doing you a favor. Never lets you talk and always makes faces. I was to get my tooth fixed and it took her a full month to get me scheduled and when I show up she states that I looked sick and I wasn't going to be seen. Don't waste your time there you will end up being disappointed.
